anyway, Emily - she wasn't bullying, it was JUST a question. and the whole indie thing? it was just a comment that people have understood differently.

Their has been quiet a lot brought against our poor Emily. Apparently she was bullying Lesley by merely asking her her age!

The great thing is your not going to get this with a lot of other TV shows though.

And people say Big Bro is mindless TV :joker:.

Oh, that's easy.

It's just a term used by the media to describe soft pop rock. I agree, she shouldnt have bothered using it, but its what us kids are being told to call it (bt music press) , so what can you expect.

IMO she's done nothing wrong. All she did was ask a question (that someone else would have asked eventually), there was nothing rude or insensitive about it.

Lesley usually lies, so why didn't she lie to Emily about her age instead of giving her stupid looks?

And its Lesley who lied in the first place about her age , lets not forget .

Did she? LOL! Well she seems to lie about everything else..

I think Emily's split the forum really. There are fans, haters and people who are unsure of her..

I think your partly to blame for that.....you do seem a tad bit obsessed with her lol

I think the reason why there are so many posts about her is because she is one of these characters you either love or hate, but i do belive in a few weeks time it will be mostly hate.

Indie music means:- Artists & Groups who are signed up with an (Independant label), "Indie" for short.

Oasis are with "Creation" Creation is an independant label. Liam & Noel are very happy staying with them and not being signed up with a major label either.

Anyway, the best "indie music" is from the 80's & 90's, but that's just me, you know:thumbs2:

Anyway, we are talking about Emily

From what I have seen of Emily so far, she seems okay:thumbs:

Not, that I have been glued solidly too the live-feed or anything either.

For those who have watched a lot of the live-feed, you will be much more aware of "Emily-footage" that some members may not be aware of.

That is an important point, isn't it:rolleyes:

That doesnt cover it Nick. What if an electro band get signed to an independant label? What if a rap artist gets signed to and independant label? They remain electro or rap.

The question is, what kind of music is being signed to independant labels that qualifies to be called 'indie', and the answer is guitar bands. Soft pop rock bands that dont qualify as rock.

'Indie' is just a silly word for a genre that shouldnt have been invented, and it's not Emily's fault that the music press has been feeding her this nonsense.

Blur was pop/rock - Oasis was pop/rock - Supergrass was pop/rock. It was called Brit-pop. There's no need for this 'indie' word.

Regardless of what artist/group it is.

The word "Indie" is short for "Independant"

But bands like, Oasis, Blur, etc... from that Brit-Pop era, are still labelled "indie", if they are signed up to an "Independant" label.

However, the word, "Indie" may not be used, even if it should apply.

I know a lot about this, more than you think:wink:

Wow it didn't take long this year for this old standard to raise it's ugly head. It seems that unless everyone is completely over the top nice to everyone else in BB then they are accused of bullying. :bored:

And if anyone thinks Lesley will be easily "bullied" then they haven't really got a very good take on Lesley. She's well capable of looking after herself. As an ex stand-up comic and a former headhunter, I'm damn sure she is no fragile shrinking violet! And she is quite willing to play people and generate sympathy for herself, she's already told us all she'll have a little cry if she thinks it will help get her own way. I think she's great so far, one my faves!!

And Emily has done little wrong except for being a confident, attractive and well-spoken young woman. Them types aren't particularly well liked on BB! It's much better if you're a little stupid and not so attractive (unless ur a bloke where the pretty boys always do better) so the regular viewer will like you while also feeling slightly superior to you and not feeling threatened. You need to appeal to as many people as possible, so you're better aiming for the lowest common denominator.

She could have a big fan club but then again have even more people disliking her. E.g. GRACE.
