They haven't withdrawn, it's just rumours. Seems more likely that actually they're replacing the team who are running the process (which is a shame, because last 3 years theyve sent some BOPS)
If they have tho, give us Kosovo & Kazakhstan pls

perhaps some of that team were too expensive  and yes it are just rumours, by one of the equinox's member JJ, and not official reports from BNT (bulgaria's broadcaster)

What are the costs? Are they not basically as low as you want? I know some nations put on a ridiculous show but in theory... you could just send a good busker with an original song... costs = flight and hotel?
[edit] And they'd probably end up winning or something.

Don't all countries taking part have to contribute to costs of the overall thing?
I'm sure I read we pay an obscene amount for something we never have a hope of winning.

costs are all paid by a sponsor (who had also arranged for concerts, by big name artists, including Beyonce)
BNT and this sponsor had signed the contract too that is why there was much silence about them, and being a bit late with their decision
the sponsor will arrange for song, producer, staging, participation, trip to rotterdam (flight costs for all delegation members) etc
the costs are covered by a few countries, uk being one of them. You know who pays as they don't have to qualify for the final.

:bored: big 5 pay the most yes that bit is true, but every single one of competing countries have to pay EBU participation fee and for some it's more than others, depending on the countries economic status

It's not an obscene amount at all lol. It's less than an episode of Dr Who.

That's obscene for something we get nothing but abuse from. :oh:
I believe thier next entry was a goose stepping dance troupe behind a blond haired girl....
I also heard the judges feared a pink protest if they were allowed to take part
