The other day I watched Johnny English 3 - I paid for a regular seat, but went up to Premier.
If you sit one away from a line of people, that seat almost certainly won't get booked as the system doesn't allow "orphan seats" to be left, and people generally want to sit away from groups. If someone books that seat in the meantime, just pretend to look at your ticket, say OOPS! and move one along

Not really 'saved', but one time I took a guy's Oyster card from his wallet, went and exhcnaged it for £4.50 (all that was left) and put it back inside afterwards oops

I'd just lost £20 on betting and I was ~desperate to get it back, I felt bad but it was just impulsive and I'd never ask somebody for money

When McDonalds had the Monopoly thing last year, the self order machines allowed you to say you had a voucher, and if you told it you had the one for a free meal, they'd just give you whatever you ordered at the collection point!

I'd never ask somebody for money
This would be endearing if you didn't resort to stealing it instead. :joker:

Train-jumping saved me a ruddy fortune during uni. Genuinely somewhere between £500 and a grand in total id imagine

Instead of paying 7.20 for a peak return ticket for the tram to work, I always ignore the journey to work and then just get a 3.00 single for the way back [No one ever checks tickets on the way to worm as the tram is packed - and at least I am contributing by paying for half my journey]

It's more to do with pride anyway so it wouldn't be that endearing

When I worked at boots I got free perfume all the time so now I have 44 bottles and probably won’t ever need to buy any for a decade

I'd worry about train hopping, sods' law and alll that. One time I went from here to Sheffield and didn't get ticket-checked once, and the barriers on that end were all open, so I literally could have just done it for free...

You in Manchester? I used to get the tram to school and college......never once paid or got asked for a ticket...good old Metrolink..I'm not proud (well I am but now I'm an old law abiding citizen).

Off the top of my head I can only think of movie theater situations.. like sneaking in for free or buying a ticket for one movie and then watching another right after.
Well also me & my friends took much better seats than what we bought at a Raw wrestling event one time.
