Silly Yank Question #1

I've noticed quite a few of you have banners "Supporting Random Housemate #__". I don't get it.

Can someone please explain?

Unlike in BBUS, BBUK housemates enter live on launch night individually. Therefore, each housemate is the first, second, third, etc. So if the random housemate number were 6, the user would be supporting the sixth person to enter the house.

So you just sort of randomly pick your favorite number and whoever it applies to, that's who you support all season long?

It depends you don't have to support them it's just fun to see who you got. I got Laura and I will support her as she's my favourite housemate so far...

Last year I got Imogen and I didn't support her at all.

I think that a lot of members may change their minds about a particular housemate, as time goes by.

If you are a fan of "Emily", let's say?

and in two weeks time, she becomes really horrible, then many may change their minds.

I am not picking anyone as yet. It is way too early for me.

So.. sounds like the whole "randomly supporting" thing is really just something to do prior to the start of the show to generate excitement, and tends to fall by the wayside once it gets going...

Hi Callum :)

Well, first off, we have no rent-a-mob. Everything happens within a closed studio at CBS Radford (in the Valley). We tend to know who the HGs (houseguests) will be a couple weeks in advance - via the CBS website. Also, they are sequestered in hotels for a bit, and then for a few days together within the BB house before the show and the feeds even start.

The first show airs, then they turn on the feeds - which we pay for... about 15$ per month.

Thats very different to BBUK.

Here, if a housemate is discovered before they're in hiding, they're automatically axed from the show.
