****, this is just around the corner from me... I can only hope that nobody's seriously injured but it doesn't look likely

Horrifying news but I just can't fathom why anyone would want to transport by helicopter at all... just seems like the mortality rate is far higher than any other mode of transport.

Tough thing for a club to go through though: not just if they've lost their chairman (and some reports saying manager, too?!) but also the sheer gloom and grief the club will now be plunged towards. :(

The owner has a house and farm with polo polo ponies on my road and lands that helicopter in the grounds sometimes.

i think we aren't getting more information now, because it's an ongoing investigation as we speak, by the AAIB (Air Accident Investigation Board)

I suspect the owner and his family would have been on board and killed along with the pilot.

I suspect the owner and his family would have been on board and killed along with the pilot.

not all of his family though, his son is thought to be not on board the helicopter, one simple reason, he didn't attend the football match

I know that I'm a bit late to the thread, but I seriously hope that his family are okay.
