We can only speculate it might be because the queen of pop is collaborating with some local artists. According to her latest Instagram videos, Madonna invited Dino d'Santiago, a Portuguese singer / songwriter to participate on her new record. They were recording together yesterday, but interestingly they met already in September last year, when Madonna shared this video. After grown up in the south of Portugal and having participated in local Church choir, Dino moved to Lisbon and because of his experiences he got a chance to work as a vocalist for various hip hop and R&B musicians. In 2013 he released his solo album called Eva bridging the traditional Morna, Batuku, and Funaná with contemporary R&B and progressive electronic music. His new single is expected this coming fall.

Their sources in various agencies speak about Paris, Bordeaux or Montpellier. The fansite has been very reliable in the past, revealing the setlist of the Rebel Hear Tour for example. JML could quite possibly be the most sexiest song ever - I just love how effortlessly sexy her voice is throughout - this as well as the fact that Lenny Kravitz did backing vocals makes it even hotter.
Not only did it peak at #1 in the USA and #2 in the UK, the video made global headlines for being so controversial that it was banned all around the world. An icon of her calibre had never really done anything as explicit as that before.
The video by todays standards isn't that shocking but back in 1990 it caused such an uproar that she felt she had to defend it on Nightline...

Madonna’s new album is now almost ready for mastering, which is the final stage of a recording process.

As we can see from one of Madonna‘s latest Instagram stories, almost every track has now been mixed and is ready for final processing.

We can decipher that Madonna has approved all the 15 tracks listed on the working board. Mostly, mastering is important to make an album sound cohesive. It is also imperative to be sure that the album sounds good across systems: from hi-fi speakers to low budget speakers and headphones.

When the mastering is done – which takes not longer than a couple of days – the album is ready.

Are you excited?! We can’t wait to listen to what is shaping up to be a new Madonna masterpiece.

The albums you listed are what I consider to be her best too... her masterpieces. MDNA has it's moments but I felt they went with the wrong song choice for the single - it should've been "I'm Addicted" or "Gang Bang". "Falling Free" is so beautiful.

Yes, Madonna said a double album was her initial plan for the RH album, but Interscope didn't like it and that's why they were all jumbled up.

One disc for the Rebel songs like "Unapologetic Bitch" and the second one for songs like "Wash All Over Me" and "Heartbreak City". I would have been interesting to see how that turned out.

Yes, The Confessions album was brilliant, and the tour could be her best from the 00's. I saw it live and that opener for Future Lovers alone was stunning.

Yes, you're right, Madonna originally wanted "Candy Shop" for the lead single but Warners said "4 Minutes" was the strongest. "Heartbeat" would've made another good single too, same with "Beat Goes On" or "Devil..."

Prince was one of a kind...what a performer.
I enjoyed everything he did in the 80's, but his music from 96+ took a massive nosedive. I absolutely love "The Gold Experience" and wish he had released more singles from it. I wasn't keen on "Chaos and Disorder" at all, but his music did pick up again with "Musicology" and "3121". :dance:

Kylie's good live too. She's already talking about her next album and said she thinks it'll be disco inspired, which is fine by me as I prefer her when she's making disco music.

"Okay, so... Some info I got from someone apparently in the know. It's not world shocking information, but interesting nonetheless and time will tell how trustworthy this info really is, but I decided to share it regardless. If only for us all to have something to discuss during the holidays:

- Do not expect anything in 2018.

- Official info will begin to be shared little by little in the first weeks of January.

- At the moment the definitive track listing is not done yet.

- She really put her heart and soul into this album. No fillers here.

- "Killers" is indeed a killer track.

- She didn't play it safe. She took risks musically and he really means RISKS. Some of the tracks people will be like "WOW, what is that?!" At first listen. Of course a couple of tracks are less innovative, more commercial. But even those are top notch.

The only thing is that it's not a very cohesive album as a whole. But the tracks are so out of this world that you couldn't care less about cohesiveness. but according to him, the album is not messy (as he thinks "Rebel Heart" was).

- It's no secret that there will be Latino influences on the album so to a certain extent people who love tracks like "Spanish Lesson" will be happy. But of course the Latino tracks do not sound like "Spanish Lesson". They are way better. The influences on this album are incredible.

- In his opinion, this is her best album since COADF."

Some more info from my source. Again, I have no way to verify this information as of yet, so take this for what it is at the moment. We'll know early January if the source was true in his statements as he said that in the first few weeks of January we would be getting some official news!

- Don't worry about the features on the new album. They are hot and really bring something to the tracks.

- He really stressed the fact that she really did the album her own way this time. This is her vision and she put her heart and soul in to it.

- Some song titles on the board that we saw in the picture/video from the recording studio were working titles, and some are the real titles.

- "Beautiful game" is still there, but not with the same title. It's not going to be a single though. It has never been considered to be the lead single.

- It's a very positive album. Not many angry songs. She's in a place in her life where she feels good inside, with her children being the joy of her life. She doesn't need a man for the sake of it and you can feel it in the new music.

- Some tracks are perfect for the summer.

I appreciate that Madonna’s management seem to be putting a team together that’ll actually know what they’re doing in the present day.

The Rebel Heart promo, as nice as it was, was far too traditional and any attempts to modernise it kind of fell flat imo. It all kind of proved if Madonna wants to stay as relevant as she’s used to they can’t keep relying on the ‘build it and they will come’ strategy, if that makes sense.

Yes. This new team sounds promising indeed. Her IG account has already improved massively as we haven't seen any unflattering pictures any more or her ranting at random nobodies ect, so things are starting to take effect.
Good promo has also started trickling from them and will continue well into 2019.

I think Madonna's P.R started falling apart when Liz Rosenberg left. She was amazing for Madonna and didn't take any nonsense - whereas Guy has been awful. All he seems to care about is the money - which is fine but not at the expense of bad publicity.

That she chose to keep fit and enjoy being strong made Madonna repulsive in the eyes of you misogynists, who think women’s bodies should fit neatly within the parameters of toned but not muscular. Our bodies are here for you, after all, aren’t they? Madonna’s arms were always a focus for you dissenters. There are a few details about Madonna‘s filming in Lisbon that we would like to share with her fans.

We decided to wait till today before revealing the exact location and we will report only some juicy details that won’t destroy the surprise.

Madonna chose a magic location with the best view of the whole city of Lisbon: the Panorâmico de Monsanto.

Abandoned since 2001, it reopened as a viewpoint at the end of 2017, after years of neglect. It was a luxury panoramic restaurant in the late 1960s ,designed by Chaves da Costa.

Despite the decay, you can still observe the beauty and the grandeur of its glorious past. Even though the graffiti cover the walls top to bottom, the building still has the flair that reflects the faded sixties era. Nowadays it reflects a desolated state of emptiness. Wandering its large glass windows, winding halls and staircases feels like exploring a ghost town. The ground floor still features the surviving tile panels by Manuela Madureira.

Yesterday this magnificent building has been closed for the shooting of Madonna‘s new video, according to what our Portuguese reader Diogo Costa told us.

There were video cameras and lights everywhere, as well as many make-up campers outside. Besides many people from her team, our reader spotted a few African musicians (some of them holding guitars) and dancers.

Finally, there were candles in the stairway that you can see in the images.

It's strange how we never see anybody try to dethrone and strip Michael Jackson of his "King Of Pop" status by saying Justin Timberlake, Chris Brown, or Justin Bieber" is the King of Pop (even though MJ's been dead for 10 years). Elvis Presley is still referred to as "The King of Rock N Roll" and we don't see anyone trying to steal that from him. Donna Summer is also still known as the "Queen of Disco" and anyone with any knowledge of music should know this.

Madonna will always be the Queen of Pop and nothing can change that. Even those who previously bagged themselves an Oscar win / nomination didn't increase their chances of snatching Madonna's crown from her. Diana Ross didn't become the Queen of Pop, Disco, Jazz or anything else, Neither did Barbra Streisand or Cher, and it won't happen to anybody else either.

Yeah, I agree. LFL has always felt like a demo to me, and it needed more work to it. The chorus isn't strong enough to be a Madonna single. Such a shame she removed the "Lord Lord Lift me" part otherwise it would've been so much better.

Madonna to perform at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019

According to the latest Ynet scoop, Madonna is about to sign a $1,5 million deal to perform 2 songs at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel.

Ynet reports that Israeli-Canadian billionaire Sylvan Adams will finance the appearance of Madonna at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. A figure that the Israeli broadcaster would not have been able to afford.

Apparently, Adams has been in on-going discussions about financing Madonna’s appearance for around a month and is now ready to sign a deal with her.

“Sylvan Adams he devotes his life to branding and strengthening the state of Israel by bringing sports events to culture and innovation,” Sylvan’s business partner informed Ynet. “We are in round-the-clock negotiations with Madonna’s people and we hope that in the next few days we will sign her arrival at the Eurovision Song Contest in Israel.”

“Sylvan Adams believes that the participation of an artist like Madonna in the Eurovision will significantly increase the exposure and media coverage of the Eurovision Song Contest and the events that accompany it and through Madonna’s visit to Israel, millions will be exposed to the wonderful people and beauty of the State of Israel,” adds Sylvan’s business partner.

Apparently, a deal is set to be signed by Sylvan Adams and Madonna’s management in the next couple of days.

Most importantly, “Like a Prayer” is a video that shows the viewer racism, sexism, and police brutality. It urges them to think and overcome it — this is something that wasn’t considered “cool” in 1989. The idea of a “Black Jesus” was also considered blasphemous to some, especially the religious right.

Considine from April of 1989 correctly noted that Like a Prayer was “as close to art as pop music gets.” The album touched on topics such as childhood innocence, childhood loss, child abuse, spousal abuse, women’s rights, and spirituality. It mixed all of these themes together to not only make the listener think and dance, but ask questions as well — some of which were risky to ask in 1989. I think it's because Madonna worked with lots of people on both of those albums and it was a case of to many cooks spoil the broth..
Aside from Madonna being heavily focused and inspired, there doesn't seem to be as many people involved as before, so I think this album will be amazing, tbh.

According to someone in the know on popjustice there is a two single tactic being worked on, to be released practically simultaneous in different markets. One is a funky/disco track (probably the one she shot the video for yesterday) and the other is a Reggeaton type track (featuring Maluma) for the Latin market! Makes perfect sense to me from the info we’ve seen so far. Because Maluma was DEFINATELY not part of the music video shoot yesterday, and yet Tribe said that Maluma is featured on the first single. The only way that seems possible is when there are two singles at the same time!

- They’re shooting the video in a theater. There’s camera crews inside and outside the theater where people are lined up (not sure why, but there's lots of people dressed up).

- Generally a lot of extras in the video.

- Everyone is wearing a lot of 70s themed clothing. :cheer2:

- Work from designer Bcalla (famous for their work with drag queens) has been used by M’s stylist, but not too sure if it’s going to going to make it into the video.
