Spencer was a celebrity contestant on 2015's series but quit the show after just 3 days following revelations about his taking of steroids.
"It was very disappointing. It was my mistake completely," Spencer said in the wake of his exit. "The fact is these drugs are dangerous, [and ITV] didn't know how long I'd been taking them.
"This was eight months ago now and since I've found out how dangerous they are, I've been turning my attentions on how to help others."
He added while chatting on ITV's Good Morning Britain: "I'd love a second crack at the jungle. My only three days in there were exceptionally fun."
This week Spencer reaffirmed his desire to return, but suggested it was no longer "relevant" having recently welcomed his first child.
Spencer, who is dad to Theodore with wife Vogue Williams, said: "I made a mistake but I didn't really drop the ball. I was more than willing to complete in that show, I absolutely loved it and was having the time of my life.
"I was removed completely against my will and for that it's annoying because I would loved to have done it. It's a bit of an ordeal now and a lot of people think I left on my own and that's simply not true. I was fully taken out against my will."
