View Full Version : BB7 - overrated?

This comes up in talk a lot, but there has never been an actual thread on it.
Many consider BB7 the best series, with fantastic cast, iconic moments and the peak of Big Brother. Others think it's just too slow after the explosive BB5 and BB6 - with a lot of terrible housemates reaching the end.
So what do you think?.

The fact that it was carried by like 2/3 housemates shows how poor it was

It's overrated. A great series but far inferior compared to 5 and 6, and not nearly in the same league

I do consider weeks 2 - 4 better than any of BB5 and BB6

Nikki, Grace, Aisleyne, Richard, Sezer, Lea, Jayne, Pete, Shahbaz were all big characters and played Huge Roles. Some of the other housemates all had their moments to.
it's laughable to think it was only 'carried by 2/3 housemates', The Cast may not have been as Good as 5 or 6 but they definitely weren't weak.

Richard carried nothing and BB7 would have been better had he never been cast.

Even though I really like 7, I do think its overrated.
The first half is reality TV gold, though I have to admit, after Nikki's original eviction, things got boring fast, and everything from there to Nikki coming back was solely carried by one housemate, Aisleyne...
Also, some housemates, especially most of the men, were either boring and served as filler or were utter trash, with the exception of Pete...
The voting public ruined it. Voting out sezer over Lea and then voting out Nikki. And the Golden housemate was a farce, she got the choice to put up the housemates to face eviction and she put Grace up just because the crowd was shouting "get Grace out" and up against Nikki. And the fact Pete had won since day 1, all played the part in the series downfall.
Epic.

He was one of the biggest characters like him or not

I despise the prick with a Passion but you can't deny the fact he was a vital part of some of the storylines.

Sure he was, but in my opinion he wasn't that a massive character (the fact he though he was odd and unique when he was sharing a house wwith ****ing Nikki and Pete was nauseating). Imo BB7 would have been the best had Rochard gone week 2

I would have been satisfied if Richard had been evicted in week 2 as well Although Looking back, I actually wished the Plastics/Richard Gang Storyline had gone on longer. i think one of the reasons why 7 is weak compared to 5 and 6 is because their Divide Storyline had ended quickly compared to 5 and 6, Which had ran longer and gave some amazing moments.
Hoochgate is one of my favourite BB7 Moments. It's pretty much 7's Cidergate

Yeah, I think if Grace, Richard, Lea, Aisleyne and Nikki all got to near the end it would be great. I actually find BB7s divide more complex than BB5 and BB6 buecause the lines are less clear, like Lea and Nikki are kind of part of both, and Imogen was slowly getting pushed out.

I could see the divide gradually getting nastier and more hostile if Sezer and Grace were there longer. Before Hoochgate it was all Playground like Behavior, With the 'Cool Kids' (The Plastics) Not welcoming the New Outsiders (Aisleyne and Sam) into the house. Within minutes of Aisleyne and Sam Entering, they were all bitching about them. Sezer even declared he would ''Give them a Hard Time'' Who Knows how things progressed if Sezer wasn't up in week two.
Nikki was part of Both sides, Although gravitated more towards the Plastics Due to Fancying George. I can't Recall Lea being close towards any of the Plastics. Refresh my memory

I've been saying this ever since i finished it lol
it was amazing but also got dull nearer the end and can't hold a flame to the constant hilarity of the drama in bb6 and charley ucheas reign in bb8

It's not the best series. BB5 and 6 were better. 7 was still a good series though.

I don't think so. A problematic cast for the most part, but a brilliant psychological piece and the tasks were hilarious. By far my favourite series.

No I don't think it's overrated it's one of the better series for sure. However I still find bb6 the best
It’s iconic!
Nikki, Aisleyne, Grace, Lisa, Glyn, Richard, Bonnie, Shahbaz
