Mouse traps that kill, one pound fifty.
Humane ones that you catch and release, four pound fifty.

I can't kill any creature, even a spider or a fly- literally! I even get a guilt complex if I accidentally tread on a snail in the garden!
Therefore, I'd have no issue at all paying extra for a humane trap. I wouldn't be able to live with myself if I used a traditional mouse trap.
It's wrong however, that it is cheaper to kill than to capture and release.

Poison works great, and the good thing is they get a tasty last meal

they wont come into your house if you keep it clean and dont have any food open left out overnight
and that means dirty dishes

Better do it in a humane way. 3 pound is nothing (not that it's about money anyway...).
And as LT said, the best way is just being proactive and then you're less likely to need pay 1.50 or 4.50.

I live in the country so I get birds nesting in the roof and a squirrel in his/her winter nest in the loft.
Also I will add I have a house rabbit called patchley and any more of your cheek lt, I will send him round to beat you up.
