She records a "live" track that sounds live but it's actually autotuned, hence the robotic sound.

She can't sing in tune standing still, never mind whilst dancing.

Well, it kind of was. Just flat and monotone.

But the song is so sh*te and dated that was as "in tune" as it would get.

If she was actually live her voice would be up and down like a drunk sailor with a sore throat. The autotune kept her voice in the one key.
