I haven't seen a thread for the current series of The Voice USA on here so I'll open up a thread for the fans to discuss, I'm assuming that Caprimint and Nicky will join myself in being a big presence on this thread, or I hope so anyway.

My rankings at the top 13 and my reasons as to why I've ranked them in this order.

1. Reagan Strange - She's not the most powerful singer in the competition (but I'm not bothered by that personally) but it is the first time that I've noticed her in the competition and her song choice actually packs a punch rather than it feeling like I had turned up to a Funeral like some of the performances on the night. Also I quite like her vocal when she sings at a lower register.

2. DeAndre - Basically a more polished version of Dalton from the current series of The X Factor UK imo, a strong start to the lives imo.

3. Sarah Grace - I'm not so sure about the song choice personally, but she has a really good voice imo, and I respect anyone that can play the Piano. She's got the potential to grow if the show is willing to give her the chance.

4. Chris - Imo the best Country singer of the year, I'd like to hear him merge his Country sound with Back Down South by Kings Of Leon next week if he goes through.

5. Lynnea Moorer - A big step up from Boo'd Up at the play-offs, but I do feel that she is an incredibly limited singer that has probably delivered the best performance that she can deliver.

6. Dave Fenley - Again a massive step up from his dirge performance at the play-offs, but he does look awkward onstage, and technically Chris and Kirk are much stronger Country singers than Dave.

7. Kirk Jay - He has a very good voice, but he is a very safe performer imo, he does the same performance every week, there's no variation between his performances for me which is quite dull to watch.

8. Kennedy - I know that she's hugely popular with the public, but her performance this week was considerably weaker than at the play-offs imo, and I can't help but feel that her support is simply because she's 13 years old when she's not really delivered a wow! performance so far in my view.

9. Chevel Shepherd - A massive step up from the most boring song of all time at the play-offs, but she's just not my type of singer tbh.

10. Kimberli Joye - I liked her performance last week, but this week she sounded a bit all over the place in the second half of her performance for me, she'll be in big trouble to leave tomorrow night I reckon.

11. MaKenzie - Another one like Kennedy that's very overrated imo, only I don't even think that MaKenzie can even sing, I think that she's only popular because she fits the biggest stereotype on Talent Shows, I've not heard one good performance off her so far imo.

12. SandyRedd - Jennifer Hudson is already ruining her imo, she's taken a Rock singer and trying to Diva the hell out of her, a massively disappointing performance at the top 13 round for me personally.

13. Tyke - By any genre's standards, and by anybody's standard's this was an appalling performance, if he goes through tomorrow night then he will be one lucky bastard.:laugh: I feel that he is an Indie Folk singer personally, but is for some reason not singing those types of songs.

i like the comeback stage introduced in this season, and i think Kelsea made good choices and Lynnea really deserves that place in the top 13 for sure


i really like Dave Fenley, maybe a bit awkward on stage but knowing him that he also did another talent show that shows his ''never give up'' mentality, with the right song choices he can do well

is there a standout predictable winner like we had in the season with Tessanne Chin for example, NO it's a quite open competition i think

I watched all of the auditions btw and no-one really stood out to me tbh :worry: It's weird cus usually I have a favourite. I guess I'd choose Rachel Messer though.

from another voice series i am following right now, Bernarda Brunovic (with the sunglasses, she's blind since birth) i love her voice so much, Corinna May (germany's first blind eurovision representative) had given her the advice to do the voice of Germany

she joined Team Michael Patrick Kelly, and she slayed in this battle, the other girl Laura got stolen, after Michael begged the other coaches to steal the loser of this battle :flutter:

Just saw this. Yeah, I guess I can comment on the season but its definitely not one of my favorites but I am still watching. Some of my favorites didn't last very long this year. From the blind auditions, my favorite was Katrina I thought her blinds were amazing but then they montaged her battle round and they showed Blake continue to mock her preferred style of music so it is clear he wanted her to go country but she wasn't interested so he got rid of her. Which left him with 3 generic male countries singers 2 of which are really terrible.

My second favorite singer was Abby Cates. Abby's performance of Kelly's song might have been the best performance of the season in my eyes. But her playoff performance was mediocre and America voted in the inferior Sarah Grace instead so Kelly picked Kymberli so she wouldn't have 3 teenaged girls.

Reagan has been growing on me the last 2 weeks though. She sang Worth It by Danielle Bradbery which is probably my favorite song at the moment so anyone singing that gets brownie points from me. Then her performance on Monday I thought was the best that week and so did America since she ended up being the most streamed and was the first one called.

I think the contenders this year will be Kirk, who I don't really care for but Team Blake always shows up to vote, Chevel from Team Kelly, Kennedy from Team J-Hud and Reagan from Team Adam. If its Kirk vs a bunch of teenage girls he probably wins since they will likely split the vote but will see I guess.

That was one of my favorite seasons if not my favorite. Jacquie and Will I liked the most. James was a little inconsistent he was great in some performance mediocre in others. Tessanne was great too but didn't do as much for me as the others did.

They had the most standout performances in the year imo.

My rankings of the top 11 performances.

1. Kimberli Joye - Not vocally perfect, but I liked the Rock undertones and her passion throughout the performance, and the parts that she did do well she did really well with imo.

2. Sarah Grace - A very flawed performance imo, but I like the song and there's something about her voice that I like, I'd like to see more of her as she seems like she isn't gonna sound like your typical female singer on The Voice.

3. Kennedy - A massive improvement on last week, but I did feel like she was a Whitney Houston tribute act this week, and I personally find her song choices and her performing skills a bit lacklustre. But on a technical level her vocal was way ahead of most of the other singers throughout the night.

4. Chris - A good vocal, and a Guitar Solo, but there was something missing in his performance that stopped it from being a wow! performance imo.

5. Chevel Shephard - Her best effort at a ballad to date imo, but her voice does have pitching issues to the point where I had to turn the TV down during those moments, however another improvement from Chevel this week as there was parts where she sounded in tune.

6. Lynnea Moorer - Her best vocal to date, but the song itself was seriously trying to push Grandpa Tell Me About The Good Old Days for being sheer boring.

7. Reagan Strange - She just didn't fit the song, she lacked the attitude or the grit in her voice to pull the song off, if she gets through she'll need to pick songs more like last week as she doesn't suit Pop Rock imo.

8. Dave Fenley - I like the fact that he went a bit more experimental this week, but I do think that he struggled with merging Country and Funk together, and adding a bit of beatboxing to the mix. I would spare him a bottom two trip for at least taking a risk.

9. MaKenzie - I really don't get the hype, another boring performance with an average vocal for me.

10. Kirk Jay - He is just delivering really lacklustre performances imo, he needs to do something more exciting.

11. DeAndre Nico - Definitely the Tyke of the week for me, woeful!

Rock singers will always be inconsistent on singing shows as a lot of really slow and cheesy songs normally tend to get selected (to be polite about the songs) so it's harder for a Rock singer to pull those numbers off.

My rankings of the top 10 performances.

1. Sarah Grace - Now that's how to do an overdone song on a singing show, it was different to the other versions, and I just really like her voice and Instrument playing skills.

2. Kimberli Joye - Last week was stronger than this week imo, but I do like the song and I like the fact that Kimberli is doing the most varied performances out of the line-up without compromising her style of Music.

3. Reagan Strange - I felt that she delivered her best vocal so far at the lives, although that song was boring as **** which knocks her down a bit for me personally.

4. DeAndre Nico - Much better than last week, although I'm not sure that it will be enough to see him go through.

5. Chris - I feel like Chris could be doing more than he is doing tbh, he has a really strong vocal but the song choices are a real big issue here as they lack any kind of impact imo. He does the best with what he was given here I feel.

6. Kennedy - The song was ****, but she did the best with what she had I suppose.

7. Chevel Shephard - A big step back for me, she looked awkward onstage and her vocal was quite pitchy. imo the only thing that I can say that was positive about Chevel this week is that she is at least trying not to sound the same every single week.

8. MaKenzie - Celine Dion! Really!? Boring as ****, and again you can call exactly how her performances will sound every single week, there's no variance in her performances.

9. Dave Fenley - That was Funeral Music this week.

10. Kirk Jay - Funeral Music once again from Kirk, plus sounding the same every single week, there's no variance in his performances.

last Friday at our voice of holland, one girl's audition, Lil Kleine & Ali B wanted her in their respective teams

btw Kelly's new song Heat is a good song, bit of soul vibes which she is fab at that genre, we knew she also slayed aretha franklin songs during her time on american idol

Somebody made a suggestion that if she was too ill, maybe none of them should have performed and they should have each chosen their best performance video shown and the vote should have been based off of that?

OR just carry it over to next week and at the start of the show they all perform their instant save songs then?

My guess is that Chevel is gonna win but I wouldn't be shocked by a Kirk win on Tuesday. Either way, the winner is going to be disappointing but Chevel > Kirk by a lot though.

I wouldn't have minded those ideas as it at least can justify saving Reagan as what was the point of DeAndre and Dave singing if the public were clearly biased against them before hearing the sing-off? Or lack of a sing-off in Reagan's case.

Anyway imo based off the night I feel that the winner should be between Kennedy and Chris, I feel that whilst nobody was amazing in the final, I do feel that they put the most effort in overall and I did think that they had the best winners songs out of the final 4, even if again both songs have problems. Where as Kirk's solo performances have been lazy throughout the lives, even to the point where I can't tell the one performance from the other, and it's really annoying to see a contestant not even having to put in an effort to get votes. And with Chevel she has been doing more numbers with life in her most live shows, but last night was one funeral song after the other, and again like with Kirk it's like the production knows that she'll be in the final two with Kirk anyway so why bother giving them good performances where they'll actually try to perform.

Basically I can't moan at TXF and SCD for not judging on the night in some years and not attack The Voice for it this year if the two weakest performers on the night finish in 1st and 2nd.

Kelly makes a stunning voice coach because she has been a talent show success story herself and she knows what the contestants are going through, what advice she can give to make them better singers/performers

Jennifer Hudson well she has been on dreamgirls so the performing she can give loads of advice to her team
