I think she gave up a little too quickly but she atleast tried it
I mean, I voted for Anne to do the trial because I really wanted to see her attempt one. She struggled a lot, I don't think she went down to the trial clearing in the right frame of mine (not a criticism, she's just obviously really struggling in there). It'll be good for her to just get used to being around everybody (after Noel goes in) and then she might be in a better place to do another one. I do want to see her absolutely smash a trial and I think once she's got her head in gear, she's absolutely capable.
Pathetic
She'll be voted again at the next opportunity, if she hasn't already walked by then. Let's see how long her campmates patience last when she keeps coming home without the bacon.
usually when someone bottles it in a trial I laugh, but with Anne one feels almost guilty doing so, that's why I don't think she is a good fit for the show. It doesn't allow us to enjoy the entertainment for what it is.

I would agree with that as well, I think she might have been better off in CBB if she wanted to do a reality show

It was probably one of the easiest tasks...I don't want her to see her do another..waste of time.
As much as I admire her and like her...I really don't want to watch someone struggle to do a simple task due to her autism. That might sound harsh..but I don't.

...and you know what Matthew that's what I don't get. We all want to see the scardey cats do the trials...but why are people voting to watch a woman who suffers with the condition she has...do a trial. I find that pretty cruel. I know she put herself in there..but shes struggled from day 1. She doesn't look like shes enjoying it and I find it uncomfortable to watch if Im honest.
I hope she doesn't get voted again.

Idk about other people, but I voted for Anne to do the trial because it would give her the chance to go into the luxury camp

IMO she should walk, if she's not enjoying it as lots are saying, and she's not prepared to pull her weight in the camp, therefore making everyones lives in there harder ,if not fair on everyone else ,she going to get chosen to to do more tasks and if she puts the same effort into the very easy task she did last night (zero) everyone is going to be hungry

Because a vote for Anne to do a trial is an endorsement of her as a person. It’s not in the same vein as Gillian being voted for trials so people can laugh at her. People want her to do well.

She is like the young lad I just helped to bring up from 13 to 21..he has aspergers and wouldn't nor will wash a plate at home, yet works in a kitchen in a busy pub...its pure laziness, laziness of the mind..
Maybe that's the aspergers making his mind feel lazy when its something he knows he can get out of cause of his aspergers,or not. I don't know...but I'm sure that a simple talking to in your own head from your inner voice can easily overcome that nonsense, aspergers or not.

Yeah Rusty i was shocked at people voting her so early on , maybe when she was in main camp and settled , i'm really worried the task has knocked her back massively , it was mean voting her.

Easier ...that's the easiest one by far. They wont get easier than that. Lets face it she struggled with the Dingo challenge...all she had to do was hold a bucket under a flow of water and tip it in a pot...
I think shes way out of her depth on this show sadly...shes struggling physically and mentally and its not nice to watch.

Rusti she was still trying to get use to the whole jungle experience, the trial clearly gave her a panic attack near enough as she's out her comfort zone.
Maybe next time she'll do better especially now she's settled into the main camp. Even Nick gave her his pillow which was sweet . And I get the impression she wants to do well.

I do actually.
Her job is like a dream job for her, quizzing...she loves quizzes, that's down to her aspergers to an extent. So she will make an effort, and travel half way round the world. Stand bravely in front off all those faceless faces proving that she can easily overcome her aspergers when it suits her...proving its her weight that holds her back, like she said at the beginning of last nights episode when she was sobbing into nick Knowles....so its not her aspergers that's hoding her back in camp regarding jobs to do....cause if it was, builders, shop workers, factory assembly line workers with aspergers would never make work if it held people back from mundane to their mind tasks.
Parmy
21-11-2018, 07:20 PM
I bet she was really grateful for that...
Nothing to do with it being Anne at all...it was down to her being scared in the car task and overweight..
People like to see the camp starve so they vote the weekest, until a bloke has a topless shower.

Plenty online clips that made it evident her weight is her issue and not her aspergers.
Nothing interesting about green slime and meel worms to me..the GC comment.

Her Aspergers will be hampering her massively but equally the fact that she's classed as morbidly obese will also cause her ( and the production team ) an awful lot of stress .
I'm actually perplexed as to why such an intelligent women has let herself get to such a dangerous size .

When she came out that bush into the trial bush clearance area, she had already gave up...not my idea of entertainment really..watching someone so hefty struggle to even get to the task( unless its fash and the bridge) does not sit well with me.

I think she faced it all quite well. But I really was disappointed that she didn't get to totally freak out in Cube 3. I am hoping that she ends up doing the 3rd one anyway. It's cruel justice, but you just can't say "I'm a Celebrity", when nobody has heard of you. GET BACK IN THERE.

Like I really don't want to entertain people with arguments but people simply cannot fake a reaction which is so uncomfortable to watch, especially when she has Asperger's. The fact she manages fine on the Chase, a setting and job she knows and has been in for over 8 years now, doesn't mean she will cope well in other situations, especially when she's now half the world away and, the days before the task, she was sleeping on the floor with basic ractions. It's enough to throw a neurotypical person off, let alone someone with Asperger's.
She has Asperger's. It affects her in unfamiliar situations. Her friend, 'The Vixen', confirmed this.
And the fact is, she tried. She did two out of five monoliths. There have been people who have had no (at least known) conditions which have quit near enough the start of the Bushtucker trial. Anne did more than them and tried.
It's completely unfair to say her Asperger's only comes out in the Jungle and not in the Chase. Two completely different situations. I don't know why but I expected everyone to understand Anne was distressed and is actually disabled, dunno why I got my hopes up
Marsh.
22-11-2018, 02:38 AM
Yeah, I don't get these arguments about The Chase.
She goes there to do her job as a quiz master, around colleagues she knows and is familiar with and in a situation she is used to. No doubt she had her teething problems with that to begin with.
Versus the jungle which is not only a completely brand new environment for them all but an awkward social environment for Anne. She's not there just to go in and answer questions, but live in this strange environment for three weeks. As Ant says that's strange enough for someone without Aspergers, never mind with. Good on her for powering through.
I don’t even see how The Chase and the jungle are in any way comparable whatsoever. The smallest bit of research about the subject, and I mean small as in it would probably appear in the first thing on Google, is that autism is great for quizzing because you pick up facts and remember them.
But of course it’s just easier to make ignorant remarks and make yourself look like a fool I guess. Why should we expect anything else!
Elliot
22-11-2018, 04:19 AM
I have the condition Anne has, probably not on the severity but yeah the comparison between the chase and trials is stupid. People with this sort of autism get obsessed with certain things and remember them very well which is amazing for stuff like quizzing, but you also end up being inadequate in other areas due to being so focused on one thing. Also tend to get stressed out in social situations and find it difficult to make eye contact, and honestly just gets stressed out and overwhelmed easier. I feel for her and I hope the pubic can feel the same way as I think she’s done amazingly already and the only way is up :clap1:
Parmy
22-11-2018, 07:38 AM
Dunno why everyone is making her aspergers out to be her stumbling block in the jungle...she's already fitting in comfortably with everyone so that's not even an issue now...its her size that's holding her back and making her depressed cause she "thinks" she's incapable..
Well sorry but I don't tend to have much sympathy for self inflicted fat arses.
