View Full Version : Is there something wrong with me ?
I have just typed a post and was looking at it before posting,, I was drawn to the word "lot". Thing is I was convinced I had spelt it wrong..I mean convinced to the point of having to convince myself it was..it took about 15 seconds until I was happy.
Should I be worried for Alzheimer's or something?
I'm serious BTW..

Just like when a word is said or written too much in a conversation and you start thinking hmm that word doesn't look/sound right

I used to do this all the time with really simple spelling words like dog :skull: like if you look at any word long enough the spelling of it just looks wrong i think

It freaked me out a bit for a moment cause it was such a small word.
I was like does that have 2 T's, or an e...(instantly dismissed) but that extra T.. .anyway, glad I'm not the only one.:wavey:

This.
Ironically I had it with the word Viagra when I was spelling out words on one of my Documents, I was convinced that I'd spelt it wrong even though I hadn't.
It must be called something?
Can't be bothered to google...like Anne and her pans a bit but i will ignore my hypocricy for science sake.

I sometimes do it with the word "goes" - there'll be times when I think is it "goes" or "gose" :skull:

I think it happens to everyone, when you look at a word and can't work out whether it's spelt correctly. Having said that Parm, you are not normal... but in a good way.

Yes but I don’t think it’s anything to do with what you’ve just typed out :hehe:

Nah its normal, I once wrote the word "bowl" and was like "hold on surely that can't be right? And then was like bole... Boal... Boel... And eventually came to accept that "bowl" is the right one.
Tbh it still looks wrong to me :umm2:...

it’s just another variation of  or :joker:
but i think skull is meant to represent “I’m dead” or “I’m speechless”

In your head maybe, in mine it means I want to poke someone's eyes out, boil their head in a big pan after I've chopped it off with my upper case risky reply .Then poop through each eyehole with my extremely pert and containable sphincter controlled butt hole...( said in the voice of Robbie de Nero's grand kid in the ****ers)

I always took the skull to be the same as :joker:, but if the thing being responded to is a bit dark.
