Looks amazing! Perched af. It's gonna be difficult to top the 94 animated classic tho.

I'm glad James Earle Jones is reprising his role as Mufasa, no one else could voice him as good as Jones.

Slightly disappointed that Jeremy Irons isn't returning to voice Scar tho. :bawling:

This seriously has the potential to be the best thing Disney have ever done. So far it looks spectacular. I know most of it will be CGI but quite a bit of it seems to be real animal footage too so that's exciting.

Watched dumbo couple of weekends ago it was good but it wasn't amazing. I also felt the same about jungle book it was good but not amazing. In fact most of the remakes recently have disappointed me a bit so I'm hoping this will be an exception because so far it looks great. Not that perched for aladdin but I will still go to see it

It looks... pointless.

It just looks like a 1:1 remake of the original but now with realistic looking animals which isn't a good thing since they aren't capable of emoting or looking distinct like the animated animals could. It's difficult to differentiate between the lions and any version of Scar that isn't voice by Jeremy Irons is automatically inferior.

I think this film will be a massive critical bomb for Disney. It just looks so..... mediocre.

It looks too similar (but inferior due to the limitations of realism) to the original. Beauty and the Beast in particular worked as well as it did because it took risks and wasn't a like for like copy of the original. They should have been more ambitious with the Lion King remake, it seems.

I listened to some of the songs. Can't Wait To Be King and Hukanah Mattattah were both great. Be Prepared was crap. Beyonce was just shouting the whole time, probably aiming for "yas kween slay, strong voice!!1" rather than delivering a good vocal performance.
