I guess I'm more annoyed @ the stuff on Twitter because everyone sharing/creating them were not even alive during his presidency, let alone are capable of naming anything bad he did. It wouldn't surprise me if half of them thought he was his son.

The tweet did make me laugh but purely from the idea of nurses not caring and doing stuff like that instead of their job; I won't pretend to know much about H.W.'s actions (aside from his handling of the AIDS crisis, which was uh... pretty bad?)

This is why I found it funny too. People (*sideyes Adam*) who think people only find it funny because they are laughing at someone dying can get to ****! :hee:

George Bush snr was a very good president, a proper statesman in the true sense of the word, hence why he received such glowing comments from all sides of politics. It's a pity today's politicians couldn't learn from his example

Yeah... we've slipped substantially when it comes to the office of the President. Maybe it needed slipping. Hopefully the "right" people help to guide it back where it belongs over time... but I think the "glitz & glammer" of those prior political years are probably over. The symbolism of that office will have to become something else I think, because "getting that back" isn't really possible. Y'all appear to have some of it still left in your own politics I think, just judging by other comments made and there... but I think that for us, the "appreciation" for the office from the public's perspective is over at least for the time-being.... until we figure out what from here on best represents us... and not just spoiled rich folk in the beltway

Regarding the OP... it's Twitter... there's a reason I quit. Trite inside jokes all over the site and all the creators have gone. Just nobodies fighting over what remains of what used to be a decent platform for easy "adulation" and clicks. I secretly wish they would deplatform Trump just so I don't have to see it embedded in every news article anymore...
