I think this question gets asked every day across the country when I'm a Celeb's on, but would you be interested in seeing it happen?

It'd be cute but people only really watch for the celebs don't they

I don't think it'd be as interesting. The appeal of civilian shows is that you get to know brand new everyday people over the course of at least 5 weeks whether that be daily or once weekly, but 3 weeks is quite a short time and with the way they edit and construct the programme it might be hard to invest in anybody.

Would be good to see how it would work, I’d definitely watch it, would probably apply too.

Morgan.
10-12-2018, 06:07 PM
Also I think we'd all much rather see, say, Harry Redknapp be covered in gunge and critters whilst removing Stars from puzzles with his mouth than Rachel from Bristol who's applied because she wants a holiday to Skegness with the kids.

i’d want to watch one series and see how i feel about it

wouldn’t be as good as the celebrity one though

Rachel from Bristol whose applied because she wants a holiday to Skegness with the kids.

not a tesco version of Sianham who likes her olidehs in skeggeh

Upon seeing the poll, i think I'd want to see it before it became regular. It would have to be longer (5 weeks though) and feature a bit more focus on the character developments rather than the trials and tasks

Want it? I’d applying the second they announce it, despite the fact that i’m Petrified of spiders and snakes.
They should do one series on ITV2 for the twentieth anniversary imo

A revival of Survivor UK would be cute

No we have Bear Grylls' shows, they're basically this but "real".

10-12-2018, 06:29 PM
No it would be the downfall

The reasn why its so popular is because it only takes 3 weeks of your life out of 52

Mind you, I wouldn’t trust ITV to cast a civilian version that well. It would literally be Love Island in the jungle.

I'd give it a watch but yeah... the celebrity aspect is why it works so well.

Would watch but I'd rather have Survivor

10-12-2018, 06:51 PM
No, the whole point is that it is celebrities.

Morgan.

It'd probably end up being the exact same as BB was to CBB in the end. Lesser production quality/effort, much lower rated, less hype etc

I would be down to seeing how one series goes. But I actually think I'm a celebrity get me out of here is for celebrities and Big Brother should be for civilians. I must be the only one in here that's not bothered about celebrity big brother..

I just don’t think it would work tbh. The appeal of the show IS celebrities taking part, and even then it can be utter dross.

I think it’d actually kill off the series

HELL to the NO !

It's bad enough fake celebs get thrown on these TV shows . I DIDN'T have a clue who Toff was !!!!.So we don't need more unknown people, plus don't we have survivor & shipwreck for civilians?? .

Infact I saw a promo for a new series of shipwreck  .

Marsh.
10-12-2018, 07:49 PM
No. The format is dull.

The interesting part is watching the celebs you're used to seeing in one way cope with what's thrown at them.

There would be no value in people you don't know anyway. Unless they made it more like Survivor but that would require them to break from a 20 year old stale format.

It did happen. It was called Survivor and it ran on ITV for 2 series in 2001 and 2002. It was great but it only pulled 5 million viewers so ITV axed it and replaced it with IACGMOOH.

Incidentally it should be called I’m Not A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, :idc:

No I don't think it would work. They tried to do something similar recently with strictly didn't they and that was bland. I really hope they never do it. However one thing that needs to happen and I'm surprised it hasn't, even though I know Thorpe Park has the I'm a celebrity ride, is why isn't there a celebrity cyclone somewhere in the UK? It would literally be a money making dream, I wish I had enough money to set it up because it would make me millions! Every single person wants to try that trial out, it needs to be built somewhere as a paid attraction

Just imagine though if the civilians were all getting on. It would be even more tedious than the series we have just watched. I don't think you could have civilians being treated with kid gloves the way these celebs were.

Survivor was an amazing show. Made even better by the fact that the winner was handed £1,000,000 in cash. And all the way through, the contestants were really tested.

Absolutely not the reason I’m a celebrity is so popular still is because it only airs 3 weeks a year less is more

Nope. It's fun watching "celebs" eating donkey dick and getting buried alive. Wouldn't give one iota of a damn about normal folk doing it. Plus where would they do it? That camp is.booked up with tonnes.of other I'm a celebs from around the globe.
