I usually do a salad with a bit of quiche and pork pie. And then some cheese and biscuits with pickles.

at first we did have a warm Christmas dinner, last couple of years we went for a nice potato salad with all sorts of vegetables (Tomato, Lettuce, Aspergus, pickled onions) and also hard boiled eggs

and homemade chocolate pudding (cocoa powder and milk) with whipped cream on top :hee:

and boxing day (2nd Christmas day) we use gourmet with leftover boiled potatoes and bake them on that on little stove, also some fried eggs, and fruit in can as dessert :love:

i know the roasted Turkey is a traditional bit of Christmas dinner but for me as long as the food looks festive it also looks christmassy

Christmas Eve is usually chilli or curry night......with a nice mulled wine

Whatever it will be I will be washing it down with some Highland Park and a lovely bottle of Macon-Villages and then at bed time making the beast with 2 backs Chrimbo eve styleee

We're doing all this for Jesus, it's to celebrate the fellas birthday.

Why not salad? It's something light, I don't want to be wasting the rennies, I'll need them for the next day, when I'll feast like Henry VIII

yes but our salad is first a big layer of potato mash and on top of that all the vegetables, making it look pretty also with mayonaise as a dressing

during we prepare this dinner we also have the telly on BBC for Queen Elizabeth her Christmas speech :love:

Christmas eve we don't have our official festive Christmas dinner though


on Christmas eve we more have lovely chocolate candy's and Christmas cookies while we unwrap our presents :hee:

Nothing special or traditional really, I haven't thought about it and probably won't until that day :laugh: I will definitely crack open a bottle of wine though

I always start Boxing day with a big full English breakfast, with some buuble and squeek made up with the left over veggies from Christmas Dinner.
