I like both

But I guess when Christmas day arrives then it ends quickly.
But there's always the Christmas season :)

The build-up for kids and young parents is kinda special but you lose that when you get older.

Only one person falls asleep in ours on Christmas day, the rest of us get into teams and play 30 Seconds, it gets pretty heated

We love Christmas.

The build-up is always better than the actual day itself, but Christmas Eve is when it really starts to kick in. We wake up early before 6 and do our shopping for fruit and veg and get any last minute bits and bobs and special treats...and then we pick up the Turkey, come home and sit and relax or put the radio on as I prepare everything in the kitchen. That is the moment when it feels Christmassy for me. The day itself comes and goes in a flash...especially on the morning when people are opening their pressies. Boxing day comes and goes and before we know it the full week has gone and it's time to take the tree down until the following year.

The build up for me.
The day itself is often too hectic at times for me apart from Christmas dinner.

For me Christmas day starts the Christmas season for the next 12 days, so I find boxing day more relaxing, so enjoying that period between Christmas day and New Years day particularly.

there is nothing quite like getting the family together on Christmas day so that they can carry on the heated argument they had last christmas :flutter:

We had our big Christmas Day on Monday, and Boxing Day on Tuesday.
Weirdly, it did feel exactly like Xmas day as well.
My mate came round yesterday and was on about preparing for Xmas day and I thought she had lost the plot:joker:

Our December the 25th will be very quiet, me hubby and the telly.
No big meal to be cooked etc...bliss.

No, you split into teams and one person from your team picks a card with a list of words written on them and you have to describe as many of of the words (could be a TV show, personality, brand etc) on your card as possible to your team without saying the actual word obviously

Oh and you have 30 seconds eachtime, hence the name :p It's similar to Taboo but in Taboo there's certain words you can't use to describe whatever you're describing, plus in 30 seconds, you have to throw the dice first, the dice has numbers 0,1 & 2 on it, if you get a 2 and then your team gets 4 answers you have to minus 2 from your total before you can move your piece on the board, so lower is better. It's really fun
