His self deprecating humour and candid attitude have made him a huge hit with Good Morning Britain viewers.

And Piers Morgan's carefree ways caused chaos during Tuesday's episode of the ITV breakfast show as he swore live on air before turning his attention to Ant McPartlin.

The 50-year-old journalist was hailed a 'legend' by viewers during the chaotic episode, which saw him call himself a 'b***end'.

Elsewhere in the show Legend Piers didn't hold back whilst discussing the nominations for the National Television Awards.

He is up for an award alongside the Good Morning Britain team for Best Daytime show, but wasn't pleased that Ant McPartlin was also on the shortlist.

Ant has been nominated in The Bruce Forsyth Entertainment Award category for Ant & Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway and alongside Declan Donnelly in the Best Presenter category.

Speaking about the nomination, Piers quipped: 'He's been on his backside all year!

'No work, walk the dog, get up, and he still gets nominated for the NTA! I mean I love Ant but really?

'Really? You're going to give the award to someone who's not done any work this year! I come in every day. I mean Dec should be getting one this year - solo.'

Although to be fair I do agree that Ant shouldn't be getting any awards this year, not because he "hasn't done any work" or because of his personal issues, but specifically after the drink driving incident. I'm not saying he's "cancelled" for it but winning awards is a bit much.
