Police have found the body of a 19-year-old in woodland and tributes have poured in to the 'beautiful' teenager.

Alicia Sidebotham from Atherton in Greater Manchester was found dead on Monday morning.

Officers discovered her body in a wooded area in Bolton and do not believe there is anything suspicious about the death.

As police cordoned off the area, residents told The Bolton News of their shock at the 'tragic' death in a 'nice, quiet neighbourhood'.

Well-wishers have posted tributes to the teenager's Facebook page, with Virginia Maria Barrington writing: 'Rip beautiful God always takes the best.

Thoughts are with your family and friends xx'

The management of Wigan nightclub Indiependence said that they were 'devastated' by the news.

'She was one of our most regular and most loved customers,' they wrote. 'Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.'

Dave Sweetmore, who DJs at the venue, shared a picture of Alicia and wrote: 'RIP Alicia. Awful news.'

If it's not being considered foul play, I wonder if she had been drinking and fell / passed out? It sadly wouldn't take long to die from the cold at this time of year.

Sounds like she's had a drunken accident.
