I'm moreso happy that it's a new twist and one we wouldn't see coming. I think it'll just depend on who returns and who gets eliminated and if my prediction is correct (Latrice returns obviously, Valentina goes home)

How it'll probably play out:

Monet and Manila are immune for winning this weeks LSFYLegacy.

They have to choose which of the other 4 go up against an eliminated queen.

Whoever wins the lipsyncs either keep their place in the show or get eliminated and replaced with a returning one.

Shakes the apple cart a little bit, and its fine for a one off twist.

I'm excited about this, no matter what happens. This is the high-stakes kind of **** that I know and love RuPaul's Drag Race for (especially during All-Star seasons), and I expect great tenacity and drama from most of the queens.

Yeah, Latrice is a lock in then. Jasmine could be a contender but I'm fairly sure she'd throw the lipsync since it seemed like, in the first episode, she didn't really want to be there.

Gia and Farrah stand no chance although I could see one of them returning through some right ****ery.

It’d be a ****ing joke if Monique goes home when she’s literally was only put in the bottom because they need 4 queens and she did miles better than the other 3. And it would further confirm my belief that the next two eliminations have already been pre-determined to be Monique and Monet but then performing well means they have to find another way to make that happen

Thoughts! Spoilering in case someone's stupid enough to come in here without seeing the episode yet.

It was a pretty meh episode overall... there were too many gaps and the tension, whatever there may have been, was repeatedly washed away and it never felt like any of the queens were really at peril. :shrug:

Also some serious accusations of riggery to be thrown around here: why did Latrice and Monique go last when she was the first to pick? :think: Trinity just HAPPENED to get a song to showcase her ass-shaking? :think: Valentina just HAPPENED to get a song about being a cat whilst wearing a catsuit? :think:

It's really hard to get wowed by another excuse to promote Ru's blah music (Kitty Girl and Sissy That Walk are good but I've heard them ENOUGH) and... yeah I dunno I'm just bored by the episode. Gia vs. Naomi and Monique vs. Latrice were both brilliant battles, though, and I'd have liked all 4 to survive. Gia just blew her reveal way too early and the "revealed outfit" was far too obvious really, would've been great if it tied into her schoolgirl/Harry Potter preveal outfit (perhaps something like a snake, or some witching stuff with those amazing Kibuki techniques she displayed in episode 1?) But yeah it just all felt very obvious Latrice would return. Which is fine, because she killed it.

Just... could've been a 10/10 episode and in the end it was just a 7.

Ru was kinda annoying this time, too.

And Manila's runway was great. Monet's was not.

I feel like people saying Latrice is dilusional or disrespecting Chad or whatever are kinda twisting words. When she says she doesn't count AS1 its cause AS1 queens were screwed by a really short season and a weird duo twist to make up for less episodes. Gave the whole season an off vibe and the mess of AS1 is what made people want and hype up a potenial AS2 for a years(?) before it happened. That's why we don't count that season lol.

I think the potential of the results for the twist made the eventual results kind of lackluster. Especially by the final lipsync, I was telling my bf that it'd been a waste of two episodes. I really would have been fine with the returning queens cleaning the other girls out sans Naomi. There just isn't a charasmatic one in that trio imo.

It feels like the same kinda thing that's put me off all three of Trinity Monique and Val. Like yeah they're alright (but not really compared to most of the girls on the logo seasons*) yet they think they're some gift to earth because ... they were on Vh1?

*when I say logo seasons I mean girls like Raja Manila Sharon Jinkx Alaska Bianca Adore Latrice Courtney. Queens that were genuinely talented and likeable imo.

I think this episode would have been a perfect opportunity to clean house and get Gia, Jasmine and Latrice back. Literally would have put up with the shottiest lipsync editing to make it happen. But that's just what I was hoping for tonight.

So I did like the episode. Was it predictable... yeah. Did it seem rigged in the way Shaun suggested... probably... but I was still gripping my kid's hand and I screamed loud enough when Latrice came back, for my other kid to run upstairs to see if I was alright. Did I call there being a double shante... yeah I called it. It was a week to save Valentina (boo) and a week to revive Latrice (yay) which is basically true to the show and it's format if we are all honest. It wasn't as big a twist as we would have all liked but I enjoyed it!

I enjoyed the ep, I prefer it to the normal return of a queen ep that AS usually do, I don’t really see how the song choices could have been rigged, I think that’s looking into a little too deep. IA about it being boring when it’s always Ru songs, but I guess it’s for budge reasons? :shrug:

Anyway, called the double shantay, but I don’t doubt Latrice will be gone again in the next two weeks, which is why she was so over it in her MTQ and the promo tour.

Bitter Farrah was a scream omd :love: and Gia slayed that lipsync which I was actually surprised by whew queen <3 But overall this is genuinely a big waste of time considering only one queen returned and she's probably gone next week anyways

I really have gone off Latrice majorly the season, even more so after this episode, she's so arrogant, she got sent home early because she's been so vanilla this season in her performance and runways, trinity & monqiue are my firm favs going forward and they both killed it this episode

I wish Gia had picked Trinity. Now THAT is how you do an outfit reveal. Not some baggy black bin bag that comes off to reveal another skimpy two piece smh.

The ending had me shook though, I was about to be so pissed if Monique got sent home when she KILLED the lip sync and didn't do badly in the roast challenge at all compared to the other three. But it does seem kinda annoying now that there's been two eps in a row with no real outcome and just more additions, as I'm not really a fan of the double elims that are about to come. Farrah vs Valentina was a really weak lip sync, would've been fine with both of them going home to make up for the number difference.

Also when Monique went to pull her wig off I almost had a damn heart attack, thank GOD there was a vibrant wig underneath!

I stand by it girl. Not saying that Naomi's some super charismatic non monotone goddess, but I really can't support Val knowing where every single camera is making sure that we know she knows where the camera is.

Can't bring myself to like Monique shoving her two 'taglines' down our throats every ep. Yeah she's showing herself to be more talented this season than last, but at this point I think I understand that she thought it was brown cow, she says "ooh aah aah sensation" and "stunning." I got it by like ep 2 and that does not a personality make.

And watching Trinity is awkward, it just feels like she's always nervously awaiting a chance to land a joke ever since someone told her she was funny on season 9.

Having Gia Lattice and Jasmine would've been a nice change to have some slightly less forced queens on the show.

Oh and another thing, I've said it before during this season but the editors really need to start showing an even balance between the two queens lip syncing. We hardly saw anything of Gia as it was all focused on Naomi (who was doing amazing tbf but Gia looked like she was doing good too from the snippets we saw). Unless there's a queen absolutely running away with it (i.e. Dida Ritz) then it's not justified to put 80% of the focus on the queen that's already pre-determined to stay/producers want to stay.

I try to find something good and fair and try to see queens from all angles and see something worth watching in all of them, but those moves Farrah pulled that were pretty much exactly the same as her Meghan Trainor lipsync in S9... and the tears, yet again, over Valentina... Yeah I was really hoping they would have waited years to bring Farrah back, cause I feel like if she ever really did reach her potential some years down the line, she'd have been really fun to watch. Production rushed it cause Aja was on last season and I'm guessing production really wanted a rehash of some s9 Val drama.

It was average - it feels like a filler episode and a waste of time. Gia and Naomi were clearly winners and should have both been able to stay in the competition over Latrice and Monique.

Valentina just becomes more and more irritating as the episodes go on, I don't understand what anyone can see in her. Last week's runway was disgusting and she flopped so hard in the roast. No better this week, apart from actually knowing the words to the song..

Also, Two weeks and no actual elimination. Anyone would think RuPaul is trying to cash in on as many episodes as she can.

Well with season 11 seemingly likely to start Feb 22nd, that gives us 4 more episodes of AS4 - 3 eliminations and then the final 4 episode so I don’t think there will need to be any double eliminations unless both queens pick Valentina and they need to come up with another twist

Considering her reputation I really expected Naomi to at least be great on the runway. She's had like, 2 good looks, and been far surpassed by Manila, Trinity and I'd even say Farrah and Monet at times.

I'll take ALL the hate for this, but I genuinely enjoyed Valentina's lip-sync the most. It was campy and delicious. Latrice and Monique deserved the double shantay, though.
