People who talk through the film, people who start playing with their phones so you can see the light, it's distracting and annoying, people who kick the back of your seat

Yes the phone screen thing is very distracting but I am guilty of that too

Loud eaters or even just the rustling of packets in general or people who constantly shake their popcorn

It’s a public place so it’s just one of those things, been lots of times if not for being in company I would have got up and left because the film was total crap.

One cinema we go to as electric leather recliners, all seats are the same price, some you had to pay like a pound more fore a better seat at the back.

When people use their phones, I HATE that.

Also the few noisy teens every once in a while ruin the experience for me...

well they should make a rule like phones off, or pay a fine if still using your Phone

Just everyone tbh but especially kids and teens, which is why if it's a film I'm really looking forward to I go to the 11am showing on a Monday during term time because;

- It's vue so "Monday Madness" or whatever it's called now means the "VIP" seats are £4.99 :hee:

- It's 11am so there are only ever like 15 people max in the whole place, often <5, once or twice I've been completely alone (never happens for brand new releases but if you go on the last week of the run it's dead) :joker:

- It's term time SO of those 15 people (max), there are NO kids or teens. Ahhh.

People checking their phone - if you're more interested in what your mate is texting you - leave the cinema!

Some cinemas have "internet blocks" in screening rooms, so mobile data doesn't reach the phone, nor does the building's wifi. I like that.

Talkers!

Amy Jade
22-01-2019, 04:40 PM
• loud talkers
• people who stay on their phone
• the adverts at the start
• strangers who sit next to you when isn't not busy

Went to see a film a while back and we were sat at the back in the corner (4 young girls) and there was about 10 people total and some guy sat next to me when the entire back row was free. I get it if it's busy but come on

Fake news (in the UK and the US at least, not sure about other countries laws) as signal jammers are illegal, due to the possibility of interfering with emergency services radio transmissions and also the possibility of someone needing to call 999 and being delayed (or completely unable to) because of having to leave the jamming radius (which is impossible to strictly control and can spill out of the building).

The only place that can legally jam phone signals is prison. :omgno: Why have you been going to prison cinema!

This happened to me once. He had a hole in the bottom of his popcorn bucket and wanted to "share" :worry:

£4.99 "Monday Madness" at Vue. Regular seats are £3.99 but I splash out the extra £1 for the posh faux leather seats with more leg room and bigger arm rests :joker:.

It's something like £11 full price which is just robbery :umm2:.

I agree... popcorn etc. are fine but people who bring in smelly sandwiches or, god forbid, hot food are just sociopaths.

I don't really mind people that much in theaters. In one theater I go to with reclining seats, the seats make a pretty loud noise when you move it, so people who keep moving the seat up and down get kinda annoying.
