only 2 american directors nominated, other 3, one is polish (cold war) one greek (the favourite) and one is mexican (Roma)

Willem Dafoe playing our famous painter vincent van gogh  ok read about that a bit but if he's nominated for best actor for that role, i might consider watching that movie

I'm over the Oscars pandering to the audience with Bohemian Rhapsody, it's a good film but it's not worthy of a best picture nomination. It's a performance film, Rami Malek deserves the Oscar for best actor but I think the film around him was just good.

if about the performance, i think Black Panther could win (new sort of superhero movie) also received really well by audience

BlacKkKlansman, well i can see that one also being a dark horse for the win, real life movie, about KKK so then it is crucial you get everything right based upon facts, and i guess they did

not much budget too just 15 million

A Star is Born ofc, a contender to win, coming from a classic barbra and kris, and Gaga & Bradley are nothing less than the Original, also with good music just like in the Original star is born

gonna be difficult to choose a winner for best movie i guess

I agree there was more worthy nominations for best picture but I think Rani Maleks role within the film was deserving of an Oscar. Plus he’s really fit

I agree with that. It had its moments but it was only compelling start to finish because of the central performance... the cinematography of the bulk of the film and supporting cast were competent but not outstanding, and while the soundtrack is great, obviously none of it is original score. Live Aid was extremely well captured but you can't give best film based on 15 minutes of the film.

Roma will win Best picture and Director.

Rami Malek and Glenn Close should win best Actors, but I think it will be Close and Bale.
