Omg no one is replying to me so I’m turning to you girlies for help. so I was cleaning the bathroom last night and I somehow got bleach in my left contact lens case and I basically left my contact soaking in bleach all night and didn’t realise and I just put it in now and it STUNG like ****!! Do u think if I leave it soaking in solution overnight it’ll be ok to wear tomorrow? Or is she a lost cause and I need to wear my glasses until my new delivery next month lol. Also is my eye going to burn off cos she’s still tearing up and I’m scared!

i don't think bleach can burn things so at best your eye will just melt

You should probably go to an optometrist to make sure there no lasting damage, bc I can’t imagine that you’ll have gotten all the bleach off the lense and to be safe I’d chuck it too

Yeah, don't wear the lens again. Keep flushing your eye and if its still sore tomorrow I'd get it checked

I drink it! whatever damage it does i dont see

besides, you drink water, are you sure about it's properties? Did you know about its hydrogen bonds? That it is most dense at 4 degrees celcius? That it has a high latent heat of fusion? A high specific heat capacity? That it's transparent? It's adhesive? it's dipolar? That its high boiling point and freezing point are anomalous properties? Or do you just guzzle it to survive?

The stinging has already died down now that it’s been out for a while so I think I’m going to be fine!

The real question is how did you get bleach in your contact lens case in the first place that's some feat

Don’t risk it for vanity reasons you silly mare!

I stopped wearing my contacts a few years ago cos I got an infection in me eye through them. Always say i’ll get them again but everyone tells me I look better with my glasses.
