Unreal, why is it always the UK that has to make a stand, this is an entertainment show, yes it is being held in Israel because guess what they participated in the show last year, and their entry won, go and urge the producers Eurovision to ban this one and that one from entering if you really are that bothered, why just the BBC ...just sod orf!

Its about 3 people from what I can see, so they can switch over in protest? and why not go to the show producers, this will be aired to millions so the Beeb not showing it is not going to make any difference whatsoever apart from making them feel good about themselves

Cherie

Wow I wonder how many "protesters" Hamas will pay to get injured over this. For all the moaning, Palestinians living in Israel have it better (https://youtu.be/oLeoPi6Jl9I?t=460)than Palestinians living in Palestine.

Yeah cause all the palastinians are glued to the telly for this..they can't wait to watch all the gayness..it's what they live for....

Hamas leaders probably think Britain's made a pop song for their exit from Europe and Gabriel no happy cause geldof got the gig again.

On this occasion all I can say is; KEEP POLITICS OUT OF EUROVISION.

Yes OK I know the voting is often political but other than that, surely the whole point of Eurovision is that everyone forgets about the political issues and a gets together for a big ridiculous party. I mean we've had countries literally at war with each other in Eurovision... and also the "winner hosts" thing has been upheld in all sorts of ****ing dodgy locations... so this is all a bit daft really. If Israel won, Israel hosts, and political discussion is for another day :fist:.

amen

it is being held in Tel Aviv, and not in Jerusalem which was the reason for the boycott tbh, too close to the warzone

now it isn't too close to that, and there are loads of lovely Israëli's who are big esc fans

keep politics out of eurovision, this contest is for our fun, entertainment

yes people are suffering, but eurovision there can be also bit of fun for those innocent israeli people who need a bit of distraction from all that violence and war

Jerusalem was a no no for me as well, too close to a warzone is not safe, but Tel Aviv is a good location, also good for tourism in tel aviv, to host a eurovision contest there

i will Judge the UK on their song in May, if i like the song it will get a good respectable position in my ranking, if i don't like the song it will end in my bottom 5

It's been effortless so far this year.

Six bland songs out of a possible 6 songs to choose from, a new low even for the UK.

I read an interesting article this morning... One in twenty people in the UK, that's about three million people, do not believe the Holocaust happened. And 8% think it did happen, but it has been over-exaggerated. Couple this with the fact that Jews are the most abused minority in the UK per head of capita. Any of these cultural icons got anything to say about that, I wonder...? I predict their answer, along with a lot of other people, would be... yeah, but... Israel.

I wouldn't strip Israel of Eurovision but I think it's fair to criticise them having it. Israel does tend to get a free pass when it comes to the west and the outlook presented often favours Israel although they have done terrible things.

they won eurovision fair and square last year, so they have the rights of hosting it this year

the other times when israel hosted eurovision in 1979 and 1999 UK did participate without complaining, this goes for all the other countries who complained they participated without any complaints towards israel in those contests which were held in Jerusalem, and this one is further away from the warzone, more so Tel Aviv is popular for tourists every year
