:hee:

The fact that Madonna's last top 10 UK hit was in 2009 makes her numbers all the more impressive.

Surprised not to see Lady Gaga, Spice Girls nor Jessie J up there.

A tad offtopic, but doesn’t Jess Glynne already have more UK number ones than any other UK female ever. I love how impressive that is.

Madonna seems to have survived over here for far longer commercially than she did in the US.

It's a shame Gaga doesn't make it, she deserves it considering some of the ppl who made the list. Justice for Perfect Illusion and MTN.

She was around for the best part of a century so I'm not surprised. Expected the likes of Whitney and Celine to be a higher though

M started out in 1982 and her most recent UK top 10 was in 2009 = 27 years, so not "The best part of a century" at all. :nono:

Just because she hasn’t been in the top 10 since 2009 doesn’t mean she isn’t still around :suspect: what kind of messy logic?

Why :suspect:

Because like her or not she had loads of good songs that did well commercially.

Pointing this out is kind of a self drag bc it just highlights the fact that she’s released 2 albums since then but not been able to crack the top 10 :fan:

The title of the thread is "Females with the most top 10 UK hits".

She's been making music for 37 years, but doesn't change the fact she scored 63 top 10 UK hits up to 2009.

The bottom 4 + Jlo is so messy, I wonder how many weeks they’ve actually spent in the top 10 as apposed to just one week with a single here and there

Didn’t even realize Madonna had 63 singles fnfbbdnd

This is about singles, but while we're on the subject, MDNA was #1 over here, and Rebel Heart #2 - like many other countries. How many 54 year old women have done that?

I think even Madge now agrees, she should’ve gave up whilst she was ahead... bit of a ****stain at the end of a great career.

Don’t need to give up, just not try to hard; Nicki Minaj, LMFAO, migos...

Look at Cher/Barbra Streisand/Celine still releasing music despite their edge, but not bothered as much

'**** stain' is quite harsh, but she has teetered on the edge of seriously harming her legacy this decade.

just watched the Bitch I'm Madonna video, and.... :skull:

Yeah, "Bitch, I'm Madonna" was the worst song of her career and it IS indeed a ****stain on her discography, but I loved the video. I really hope she hasn't recorded anything like that for the new album. :joker:

:joker::joker: I don't know what possessed her to record BIM. Hated it from the very moment I heard it. Awful song that should never have seen the light of day, but I do like the video.
