I don't believe the mother didn't know what was going on. It came across to me that she was allowing him access to the daughter while she was sleeping with him. Totally ****ed up.

I have never been more angry after watching something, such a frustrating watch.
The dad is obviously in the closet and the mother was obviously giving B access like Niamh said. The way she smiled when he would talk about her affair for months with B that sHE HAD AFTER HE TRIED TO MARRY HER CHILLDDDDD it frustrates me even thinking about it i need a rest. oh and they let B sleep beside the child for a few months after he told the dad he was raped by his aunt because why not

We both found the parents' actions totally wrong in the way they basically just let things happen. I felt like they were more concerned about how they'd look to their community rather than the welfare of their daughter? I was thinking about his wife too and he had his own kids. I would be interested to know her history, I did wonder if maybe she could have been another victim of his and had just stayed with him? (pure speculation of course but she must have been very brainwashed to put up with all that and possibly put her own children at risk too)

I thought that too Niamh, especially when they said that she was so different to him, very quiet etc and begged the family not to go to the police.
I thought she may have been a victim who had grown too old for him but she was that brainwashed he couldn't let her go
