A lot of factors of course but honestly it's the BEAT that catches my interest first and foremost always. Lyrics can be trash (although I also like to hear some funny/clever lyrics especially with rap), vocals can be pretty bad, and I don't care to relate to a song at all (added to poll because I know many do).

it literally depends. sometimes i just want a cheap bop. other times i want something more creative/unique, and a relateable message can take that to the next level.
