A family were left disgusted when their all-inclusive £10,000 holiday to Cuba became 'the stuff of nightmares' after finding filthy toilets, stained towels, broken furniture and a swimming pool with green scum.

Gayle Evans left in tears after her stay at the four-star Brisas del Caribe in Varadero for her 50th birthday with husband Steve, daughters Ayla, 19, and Gabby, 12, and son Jaz and his girlfriend Laura, both 23.

I’m sorry there’s no way this holiday cost 10K, and why are people commenting that they spent 10K what do they expect.

10K for a family is crazy money, you can stay in some amazing five star hotels for a fraction of that price.

If they're including flights and spending money it could easily be £10k, there's 6 of them

But the hotel only cost £400 for a week (in peak season) so there’s a lot of unexplained money.

Unless they flew business class to stay in a 3 star all inclusive hotel.

Economy class flights to Cuba could easily cost £5000/6000 for 6 people, also it says the hotel was 4 star

Just had a friend return from a holiday in Cuba, she spent most of the holiday in the toilet after getting food poisoning on her 3rd day there, she said the cleanliness and sanitation is at a very basic level everywhere

six adults that is about 1400 per person to Cuba, sounds about right

I mean, it wouldn't be my first choice as somewhere to go for a luxurious all inclusive holiday but tbf If you're looking for that type of holiday I doubt it even matters where you are as long as it's warm, best off in one of the Spanish Islands or resorts, fraction of the price for a better standard...personally I hate those types of holidays though. I think Cuba would be cool to see though as a sight seeing type holiday

Wow their holiday was more valuable than Cuba itself.
