Anyhoo, I'm re-watching S3 - this time with untucked. I'm five episodes in and it's so iconic!

Every episode has sooo many iconic episodes, and so many of the queens are rootable.

Raja is such a pioneer. She, along with Manila really propelled Drag Race forward.
Manila is honestly amazing all round. High fashion, and strong challenge performances.

I ****ing LOVE Yara Sofia. Her basically doing the same performance on three consecutive challenges (yes, I'm including her Amy Winehouse tribute), and I lived for it each time! "Oops, I burn't my ass" :devil:

Mariah was ****ing beautfiul.

The only two I'm not here for are Delta and Carmen. I actually think they're both pretty strong in terms of runways, but both suck on challenges, and when you're as dull as they are, you can't get away with being a bitch, like Raja, manila and Shangela can.

Yara's stand-up is a ****ing SCREAM.

It's honestly a crime that she was a Top 5 queen. i think she could reasonably have been out fifth or sixth.. she didn't excel on a single challenge. she wasn't even good in the comedy challenge, despite the hollow praise form the judges.

Carmen Carrera surviving F6 is an absolute joke. Another bombed challenge, and she survives by... learning Spanish?

I'm rewatching season 1 (theyre all on youtube), 2, 3, 4,5 & 6. Remembering why I fell in love with the show, and when it was actually good.

Just finished S3 finale for my re-watch, and it's a very hot contender for my favourite season.

Ugh, there's so much to love in this season.

Episodes 1-5 are just utter car crashes in the best way possible :love: Each episode (minus maybe episode 4) has a multitude of messy, ICONIC moments. The Heather vs Boogers divide is more complex than I remembered. I wasn't much of a fan of Delta this time, much less Carmen. I also had a problem with Raja's 'Stacey and Shangela get the **** out'. The Heathers on the other hand; Yara and Alexis are just ANGELS, and rightful Top 4 queens. Shangela is great entertainment value, but with watching untucked on this watch, the whole 'I keep it real thing' was a tad grating at times. What I loved most about this season was Raja's FLOURISH at the end. Like, obviously Raja slays the runway almost every week, and rarely flopped at challenges, but she mellowed out soooo much. She's an inspiration, and one of the most captivating personalities Drag Race has seen.

I also have to comment on how bloody awesome the lipsyncs are this season.

Alexis vs Yara... honestly just about teared up here....

I also think I liked the season even more than last time bc I knew how many episodes there were. Like, during my first watch, I was expecting an 11-episode season, so the Carmen return for example pissed me off. But, like having six episodes for the final six queens works when you know it's coming... mainly bc i ADORE five of the final six.

Her being picked last, Kenya Michaels snubbing her, and Willam being visibly disgruntled when he has to pair up with her in the Epsiode 4 mini-challenge :(

I liked Madame LaQueer. I know many wouldn't think she's an All Star (she doesn't have the Instagram followers) but she is still a fierce Queen. I don't think she would've stayed much longer than she did, but I enjoyed her whilst she lasted.

I HOWLED at Willam getting emotional when she was pronounced safe in Episode 5, and she still managed to get in the fact she'd acted alongside the guest judge :laugh2:

Milk was mean to Ben and Bebe which I didn't agree with at all - villain
Living for Shangie, Bebe, AJA (!!!), Kennedy and Ben in talent show
Meh for Thorgy (nothing special) and Chi Chi with her shoes
Milk's performance was utter ****e (why wasn't she in bottom??)
Trixie spare us the details when you called Morgan out for saying that she'd elim strongest
AJA and BEN deserving winners of the the variety show
Milk should've been bottom over Morgan and OUT
AMAZING iconic lip sync performing Anaconda. Both deserved to win the lip sync, but slightly preferred Ben.
Don't agree with eliminating Morgan at all. Chi Chi should've been out.

I expect Ru will bring back a trans contestant for every AS now after being called out on his views. So Jiggly, Sonique and Peppermint expect calls in the future.

Chad Michaels should have won the Frock The Vote challenge. Sharon was forgettable in comparison, and her runway didn't fit the brief in the way Chad's did.

Also... Dida Ritz making top 5 is just.... LOL. I mean tbf, top 6 (behind Willam) would have been acceptable, but that's testament to how few viable winners there were in S4

I must say, I do prefer S3 to S4. Just like last time, S4 felt like a bit of a comedown. The drag is just a bit less polished... even Sharon's is messy at times. And it really lacks characters I LOVE. Chad is the only one that is a truly POLISHED star, and is the only character I truly love from S4. That's not to say that S4 is lacking in personality or storylines, though. It's a very watchable season.

I wanted to like Phi Phi, I really did. But her behaviour on the season is just atrocious. A particular low-light was Final Four untucked, when she tried to twist a clear joke into something that meant that Sharon was unworthy.

detox's entrance look was honestly STUNNING. as was her photo. hands down the best entrance look of the first five seasons for me.

i really don't get the hype with roxxxy's runway look. it was just kinda ugly to me lol. lineysha was HIGHLY robbed, the fact the dress was made out of wallpaper ugh.

i'm through episode 2 of Season 5 and i'm feeling bad for how short-lived honey and especially lineysha's tenures were on the season... lineysha's runways were both OUTSTANDING, and her lipsyncing was on point. She had tyra down to a tee. honey's mystique was also near-perfection, and her runways have both been good, so i feel sad they both go home in the next few episodes.
