Well once again there has been a "racist" incident in the house. Firstly it is good that Emily was thrown out right away as in CBB Channel 4 failed to act on the incident. Secondly they should NOT be showing what happened in tonights highlights show because once again as the press are such b****rds they will make it even bigger than it already is. And thirdly Big Brother is going to be cancelled because if they do show it tonight and enough people write in complaining about it then it will be scrapped. I think tomorrow if they do put new people in I don't think it will turn the press's attention away from this incident. Channel 4 have really landed themselves in s**t this time haven't they and all us fans have to suffer because of it!:mad:

Hi - welcome to the forum if I haven't welcomed you already.
Have a look round some of the other threads (well, lots), as all those issues have been discussed there.

It's not racism, it's linguistics.

Fans won't suffer. There are plenty of viewers and as long as there are viewers, the show will continue. Reality TV is controversial - fact. But because BB dealt with this particular situation so well means we can move on. It could be shown on the highlights because the viewers really are entitled to seeing exactly what happened, so can pass judgement and not be kept in the dark. There'd be no point writing in to complain as BB dealt with the situation.

That's a good point actually... and I know again it was just Emily bitching just like Jade did in CBB and that is all it was no matter what anyone says, but the press and some of the viewers won't see it that way... it's already been said that they will scrap the show if an incident like this happens again no matter how they deal with it... but hey just hope eh?

you do make a good point, it seems that C4 is more concerned about ratings than about other things
i just hope the press see how rapdily BB responded to the incident and how it shows a "no tolerance" to any kind of racism
