Housemates have regular meetings with the psychiatrist before the series begins and have thorough, private check ups in the diary room throughout the series. They have a six month follow-up period afterwards.

I can’t say the same for Love Island as not sure how it works.

if we are to believe all the housemates, then it seems like the big bother aftercare isn't consistent with every housemate. I would really like to hear Toya's take on this. She had a really hard time after the show, and if her vlogs are anything to go by the big brother team didn't seem to be very involved.

i don't like the girl but they basically invited her back on only to completely turn their backs on her for acting exactly how she did the first time she was in there slvfkfp

Nnnn tea

Anyway she’s spoken out and said it’s not the show’s fault it’s the public and she feels she was shamed for going back to a normal life after her telly work dried up and that may make people continue to chase fame instead of accepting a normal job and getting on with life

So, basically going by the numerous accounts from HMs, the aftercare is inconsistent. Don't know if it is just certain HMs not "asking" or attending said meetings, or whether the producers had favourites who they cared about and those who they didn't. Would like to think it was the former, but I think it is the latter.

I guess the aftercare was better for the ones who the team "liked more" which is a bad thought.

Tbh, it seems to me the likes of Ryan Ruckledge don't attend meetings or bother with follow up calls, but now that the aftercare has a spotlight on it are now talking about how bad it was.

Not all of them, but the likes of him definitely.
