it was reported in America that he is being investigated for a sexual assault in Ireland, his spoke’s woman as said his retirement as nothing to do with that allegation.

He was arrested in January but released without charge but is still being investigated.

The rape definitely happened and it was a very violent attack, there's no dispute about that. In Ireland the accused cannot be named though so all that was realised was "an Irish sports star" there was only one name rumoured though. The reports in America are picking up on those rumours
