She was definitely assassinated, so she definitely knew (and was set to expose) something. Unfortunately it's unlikely we'll ever know what because someone got to her before she could speak.
It was a contract killing but given her link with crimewatch it's very difficult to know who carried it out. I'm not convinced there was a cover up, there are loads of murders where they don't find the killer, just in this case it was a celebrity and so gets attention.

Catching-up now. I remember the news being announced of her murder, awful. Was in my friends house playing, 8 years old. WOW.

The fact that she was apart of Crimewatch made her a target, I actually wondered after she was killed if other crime watch presenters were at risk .

Her being a crime watch presenter was a perfect smoke screen for someone high up in politics to use to cover thier dirty deed. When that didn't work one man was convicted on one atom of evidence, he was equitied 8yrs later even though the law for covicting someone on the basis of them having one atom of powder evidence on them was amended to that being unadmissable evidence one year later, the poor bloke still had to spend another 7yrs behind bars...funny how that law got changed all.of a sudden. ...
