[A leaking roof has forced the House of Commons sitting to be
suspended as water flowed into the chamber.
Deputy Speaker Lindsay Hoyle took the action to halt MPs'
proceedings after a backbench business debate
on the introduction of the loan charge was interrupted
by the sound of running water.]

Aren't they temporarily moving parliament elsewhere in a year or two to fix the building anyway?

I mean

Parliament is literally riddled with asbestos, but they're still allowed to sit in it.
A bit of drizzle? Let's go home during one of our biggest constitutional crises in a life time!

Asbestos isn't actually dangerous in buildings, it's only dangerous when you're removing/demolishing it

yep that is correct, then the dangerous substance can spread into the air

which is why the people who remove/demolish that wear masks and sometimes fully into protective hazmat suits

Westminster is crumbling, surprised they don't have daily water leaks.
