View Full Version : Borat/Jew
I don't know if it's just me and where I live, but loads of people are obsessed with making jokes about Jews, calling everything "Jewish" etc. since Borat was released. I realise that the man himself is Jewish, but d'you feel that Borat has created a lot of stereotypes, even though most people can see that it's not meant to be taken seriously?
I didn't put this under debates because it's not really something that can be argued, it's more of a closed question with the chance to extend your answer if it's yes :P

Yeah its a craze over here aswell. The latest craze of insults is 'you jew'
Its quite amusing, but it could offend someone.

Yeah Simons right....Ive heard that saying since for years, Since i was in year 8-9 at Secondary school. I think most people take it as a joke and just laugh it off, I know I do.

Here too as well, I can't remember many of the jokes, but they're quite offensive. There are Jewish people in my school who don't like it, but there's not much they can 'bout it.

The Jew insult has been around for ages.
Borat is a fun movie and shouldn't be taken seriously.

We have the craze here but it is really old and Borat was only playing off pre-existing stereotypes.
I didn't find Borat funny
South Park that started that fad roughly TEN YEARS before the borat movie.

It's old, and crap. If someone called me a Jew I'd laugh in their face for failing at life.
