This is the shocking moment a teenager rides a pregnant Shetland pony before it falls over and suffers a miscarriage, it has been claimed. The RSPCA has launched an investigation into the incident which is believed to have happened on Bodmin Moor in Cornwall. Young farmer Hollie Cornelius shared these sickening photos and slammed the teenagers for doing the reckless stunt just ‘for Snapchat’.
She wrote online: ‘To the absolute w***ers who think it’s funny to catch and ride heavily pregnant miniature Shetland’s on the moors this is a result of your actions.
I’d just like to ask anyone else to be considerate of the animals on the moors please they do belong to people and they are not toys for your amusement.’ Hundreds of shocked commenters have called on the police to investigate and bring the youths to justice. But neither Devon and Cornwall Police or the RSPCA have so far been able to find reports for the incident in the absence of a precise location or date. However, the RSPCA is asking for any witnesses to come forward. ‘We urge anyone with any information to call the RSPCA on 0300 123 4999,’ a spokesperson said.

Exactly! No chance of catching them if their faces are blurred.

I HATE humans honestly, this is ****ing disgusting. You just know there will be no consequences either - slap on the wrist and mummy and daddy too drunk on white lightening to actually care.

Well even adult criminals get their faces blurred still which I find stupid & annoying, it's like they're protecting them :bored:

And the fact that the scumbag was dumb enough to share on Snapchat ,his image is out there so why not show his face ?.

The police know who they are then, the pictures would be pretty clear. I hope they're dealt with properly... Personally I'd have them ****ing horse-whipped. In public.

Glad theres photos but I do agree he will get off with a slap on the wrist. And thats IF the police even bother their arses..have watched a fair few programs where they do animal resuces from cruelty and it seems the police really don't give a **** and its often hard for the charities or whatever to even get a fine out of the dickheads leaving like 50 cats in a house and ****ing off or whatever :/

The photos will have to be blurred because I expect he is under 16 (or 18?)

That would be a brilliant idea

....I don’t know I’m a bit sceptical about this story..or just a bit unsure...it’s a horrid thing if true ...but why put the photos on social media because she was obviously so appalled by it ...and yet not report it to the police or the RSPCA...

I always say this in threads about animal cruelty... in the USA their animal wardens are trained to look for child abuse, domestic abuse etc. because the two, so very often, go hand in hand. It's about time we took it more seriously in Britain and punish anyone who mistreats animals. It might save lives down the line.

Maybe she posted it to show people the sickening attack, thinking she could get information on the sickos who did this?

...of course I understand that but it doesn’t make sense that she didn’t report it so that there would be proper repercussions...and according to the article there were no reports...it just doesn’t make sense to me...

Absolutely sick.

I doubt that there will be any justice though.

But the animals was clearly misused and then miscarried. I don't know why she didn't report it; maybe she's reported stuff before and wasn't thrilled with the inertia she faced.

I think she thought she would mete out her own justice by shaming them online, she probably didnt bother going to the police as what good would it do?

A driver who drove into the side of my car a few years back drove off after the accident, I took my insurance and licence to the station and the wanker asked me had I been speeding, to make a drawing of the position of the cars, and answer other questions and nothing happened.... so never again just a waste of time

She will probably get a visit from the police for putting their faces online though

....imo if they’re children or if it’s unsure of their age..?...then the photos shouldn’t have been put online, it was wrong for her to do that...what they did was awful and should have been reported to the police and the RSPCA to be dealt with accordingly...

Even if there's no police action, surely the owner of the pony can sue them/their parents?

I'm more concerned about the horse and its owner than I am about the idiots who did this. They have to take responsibility for what they did.

Some kids who commit crime don't have their faces blurred Cherie,(thinking Thompson and Venables here) it should be the same for these arseholes.

...exactly which is why I would have liked to see this reported as it should have been....otherwise responsibility isn’t being taken is the point...
