How often do you drink alcohol?


I personally dont really bother with it at all these days. I may have one or two at a night out if I'm in the mood but even then I mostly just have soft drinks.

I'm really weird. I drink loads at home but then when I go out I drink enough to barely get tipsy...

At home I probably drink 3 bottles of red a week? I just crack them open and sip on an evening

My sister is kinda like that, she can have a couple of glasses of wine at home and is pissed lol but on a night out she could drink spirits all night and just be slightly tipsy

I have a couple of whiskies at 7 to 7.40pm then maybe 3 decent glasses of white of an evening. I am a creature of habit. I don't have any more and dont drink beyond 9.30. I will in the next 4 days due to the Masters but only by one glass.

I don't get drunk and i get up each day at 6.30 every day

Last night at auction I bought 30 bottles of good quality white for 2 squid a bottle. Always loved a drink. The TL has 2 gins and falls asleep, she is better off it.

I play darts at least once a week so that's at the pub, after playing football or cricket we all go to the pub, if I want to catch up with a friend we go to the pub, if I've finished work for the week I want to go to the pub, if I'm just bored at home I'll go to the pub, if I've had a crap day I'll go to the pub. It's the answer to a lot of problems :hee:

if i'm away on a trip, i will drink once or twice a day in vast quantities. If im at home its when the urge takes me which could be once a week or once a month or even 3 months

I've honestly had 3 cans of lager since New Year's. That was the last time I went "out" drinking.

Then last Thursday my mate got some cans in for when I went around and I had 3.

Not a big drinker if you can't tell already :laugh2:

Varies all the time with me... sometimes I'll drink 2-3 days of the weekend and then maybe even another day that week but for the most part I don't drink much. About once or twice every few weeks for the most part. Sometimes I'll go on a drinking drought where I won't drink any alcohol at all for a few months, or just a few times within the span of a couple months.

90% of the time I just drink to the point of getting tipsy tho. Just enough for me to have some extra fun when others around me are also getting tipsy/drunk. :clap1:

Its worth remembering that alcohol (ethanol)C2H6O. is just one chemical compound that is consumed at various levels of strength and given names and flavours.

As a central nervous system depressant, ethanol/alcohol is probably the most commonly consumed psychoactive drug going.

So when consumed at say 5% volume in water its called beer, lager and cider

when consumed at 12% its called wine

and at 40% we call it vodka, whisky rum

but its all the same thing

Usually a pint/another half on a Friday afternoon lunch with colleagues but that aside I could quite happily not drink for a month or two. Rarely go “out” anymore because it bores me.

Literally twice in the last 18 months (a stag night, and then the wedding of said stag). Probably had alcohol fewer than 10 times in the last 5 years :think:.

Honestly "casual alcoholism" is far too accepted in the UK; it's a real problem, guyz :shrug:. Having a few "party years" from the teens into the 20's is inevitable but at some point it's time to grow up and learn to enjoy reality without hiding behind a haze of drugs :idc:.
