So is it only launching in US to begin with? If the price is the same for the UK it will be a very cheap streaming platform which they knew especially with Netflix upping prices would help

Introductory price. Wait and see them raise the price after it takes off, and other services have to close.

I mean if it stays that price (that looks like UK £4.99 to me...) I'd probably sub but otherwise have to be honest and say I'll just watch the Marvel series by other means if they're worth watching.

Then again, given the state of the pound, it'll probably be about £20/m by then. :umm2:

Currently pay 5 pound a month for the Disney life app for the kids. I hope I'm not having to pay another fee out for the streaming service and they can just merge them together so I can stream on the TV

It's not even based on him kmt. They are focusing on Leah and her bisexuality and issues like body confidence and none of the cast are meant to be reprising their roles.

Given the list in the OP, a basic price for a basic service.Yep once they have a few dozen more movies and a couple of seasons of each of the original shows available, it's quite likely prices will go up IMO.

There's a pre-order deal happening atm where if you pre-order for a year you'll get a tenner off the asking price. Might be worth it for people who know they'll use it for the long run.

Nnn when will it be then

There's a tonne of stuff missing from UK Netflix that almost every other country has, because Sky has long-term deals on them for Sky Atlantic... with Disney+ I think it'll probably depend on whether or not they think the draw of having it on Disney+ outweighs the cold hard cash they're getting for the rights to air it exclusively. Although, Disney is pushing hard to establish streaming so they might not base it as a purely financial decision.

Netflix have a similar thing (Netflix through your Sky sub). Makes a lot of sense really, there are plenty of Luddites still around who would probably never sign up for a streaming service independently but will happily add one to their Sky bill.

So, the Disney+ app doesn't work on iOS versions under iOS11. My youngest has an iPad 4, which only goes to iOS10.

New rage.

There's absolutely NO reason for it, every other streaming app (Netflix, A-Prime, YouTube etc.) works on iOS10. Disney+ app works on an ancient Fire TV stick ffs. For what possible reason is it locked to iOS11 and above? Are they getting a kickback from Apple because they know that a lot of kids - the primary audience - have slightly older tablets and will need to upgrade to have Disney+?

Genuinely peeved. There's nothing wrong with her iPad 4, I'm not paying several hundred £ for a more recent iPad just so she can have Disney, and I can't even just switch her to one of our Android tablets because she's learning disabled and has gotten great at using and navigating her iPad but will be confused and frustrated if suddenly presented with a different tablet.

Due to the addition of Star, Disney+ will be raising its prices in Europe to €8.99. Star will include titles such as Kingsman, Die Hard, Alien, Atlanta, Modern Family, Homeland, and The Americans. Per Campbell, "We’re making a service even more compelling to older teens and adults." Disney+ will launch with Star in Japan and South Korea later in 2021.

Oh perched, if Alien is on there then there’ll be 18+ stuff
