They all thought it was part of his act.
No One thought he was really dead.
Sad the 60 year old may have needed tablets
to keep his body safe.

[Veteran stand-up comedian Ian Cognito has died on-stage during a performance.
The 60-year-old comic sat down on a stool while breathing heavily, before falling silent for five minutes during his show on Thursday.
Compere Andrew Bird said the crowd at the The Atic bar in Bicester had thought it was a joke, and continued to laugh, unaware something was wrong.
South Central Ambulance Service confirmed Cognito was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mr Bird, who runs the Lone Wolf Comedy Club event at the venue, said Cognito had not been feeling well before the gig started, but insisted on going on-stage.
"He was like his old self, his voice was loud. I was thinking 'he's having such a good gig'," Mr Bird said.]

Yes I know lots of people survive heart attacks, but the fact remains he didn't despite being on medication for it, so his number was up in my book

Maybe it was heart failure, rather than a heart attack.
If he sat quietly and died then it sounds feasible.
R.I.P.

Yeah I heard somewhere that most heart attacks are survived (assuming they receive medical attention etc), but heart failures/cardiac arrests are the real killers.

Isn't this how Sid James died? On stage and everyone thought it was part of the act?

You're thinking of Tommy Cooper

Nope.

On 26 April 1976, while on a revival tour of*The Mating Season, a 1969 farce by the Northern Irish playwright*Sam Cree, James suffered a*heart attack*on stage at the*Sunderland Empire Theatre. Actress*Olga Lowe*thought that he was playing a practical joke at first when he failed to reply to her dialogue. When he failed to reply to her ad libs, she moved towards the wings to seek help. The technical manager, Melvyn James, called for the curtain to close and requested a doctor, while the audience – who were unaware of what was happening – laughed, believing the events to be part of the show. He was taken to hospital by ambulance, but was pronounced dead. He was 62.
