Hard to disagree with this. They don't keep porn mags next to Spider-Man, so why should it be easy for kids to come across it online?

Vicky.
17-04-2019, 01:06 PM
I think this is a good idea personally, mind I don't watch porn so maybe those who do will be pissed off. BUT, its easy enough to show ID. Some kids will get round it as they will use their parents ID, but I do think porn usage amongst teens (and younger sometimes..) will decrease hugely. It does seem like censorship, however, its a kind of 'think of the children!!!' situation, so I agree with it really.

Will this be amateur porn also? 'Proper' porn has gotten so violent it seems. My mates husband is a porn asddict and keeps asking her if he can choke her and stuff as thats what he watched. Then you have the many men who have killed their partners in 'sex games gone wrong'..which is just another excuse really to get away with murder as noone can consent to being murdered..and if they do they are clearly mentally ill so cannot give informed consent at all!

I honestly think porn is responsible for a lot of the problems there are today. However, that won't shock many people as its fairly well known I am a feminist

Whats wrong with kids meals?

My kids are weird (in a good way, not complaining about this), when they go to McDonalds..maybe once every few months, they chose chicken nuggets but with carrot sticks, a fruit bag and water!

Doesn't mean they should be taxed more, the best answer is always less taxes, not more.

There should be tax breaks for companies which offer affordable healthy food.

Quite. Instead of just making everything more expensive, maike it so good quality food is cheaper.

We dont really have this issue now as finances are stable, but when we were very poor, you could get a 50 bag of chicken nuggets for a quid. Where fresh fruit and veg were ridiculous prices when we had like..20-30 quid to do shopping for the whole week...

I hate how the go to answer always seems to be 'charge people more'

in porn, especially these days, there is something for everyone .... i would post a link but it would probably get me banned, so here is a definition

"Femdom is short for female dominance. It originates in the BDSM (bondage, discipline, sadism, and masochism) community, where a dominant describes a partner who takes charge during consensual sex acts involving power, pain, or humiliation. The term femdom dates back to at least 1986, when it was being used in pornography."

Well not in restaurants, but doing the general shopping..we lived on crap for a few months, and fruit and beg was a treat, as was fresh meat. Was bloody awful tbh.

Given more people than every are living in poverty these days, my vote would be for tax breaks for companies wh charge less for 'proper' food.

I wish those 'wonky veg' or whatever it is that tesco do was around when I was skint mind!

First step of a slippery slope in the guise of protecting children.

It should be up to parents to monitor and block inappropriate content for their children, it shouldn't be an excuse for the government to monitor and block websites unless you agree to basically hand over your information. It's truly grim what this could lead to.

it's a system that is destined for failure. Those that want to watch porn will find a way to watch it without providing id. Those that don't want to watch it won't care any way.

If this is targeting school kids, then they are the ones that will get lured into underground methods of watching it, and that is an environment far more dangerous than what they are being blocked from watching. It's just not been thought through properly at all.

Its the same principal that parents can be monitoring their kids 24/7, same as parents can fail when it comes to feeding and clothing their kids due to outside influences ie losing a job or a partner the same goes for parenting kids in general....so to say parents should be protecting their children 24/7 from outside influences is pretty much impossible

This is a very good point; a likely outcome is that some teens will head to the Dark Web to access normal porn, where they will encounter things that are so far outwith the realms of "normal" that they make a bukkake cuck party look like a wholesome family movie.

Don’t really see why this is necessary
What really are the negative effects of like 15 and 16 year olds watching porn? Yea maybe they develop unrealistic standards of what women should look like etc but that’s not really something that needs to be strictly covered by the law it just needs to be talked about more

There are plenty of programs and apps for restricting access to inappropriate sites. There are a lot of options. Parents don't need to hover over them all the time, they just need to do the bare minimum.

It isn't illegal . It's illegal to sell pornography (or any other age-rated product) to someone under the specified age but there is no legal implication in consumption of that media.

It's no more illegal for a 15 year old to watch porn than it is for a 15 year old to play Grand Theft Auto, or a 14 year old to watch "Saw" or whatever. i.e. it isn't illegal at all.

You seem to be forgetting that families have kids of all ages and that when they go to their friends houses they to might have older siblings etc , its not really as simple as you are claiming, not to mention that kids are pretty savvy at getting round parental controls when they get to 8 or so

So... a parent losing their job so needing financial support to feed their child to keep them alive is the same as a parent... monitoring their child's internet useage?

Yeah. Ok Cherie.

Don’t really see why this is necessary
What really are the negative effects of like 15 and 16 year olds watching porn? Yea maybe they develop unrealistic standards of what women should look like etc but that’s not really something that needs to be strictly covered by the law it just needs to be talked about more

It's also not only porn that is to blame for that. Media as a whole is.

So watching consenting people (who know they’re being filmed etc I should add lol) have sex is disgusting but actually doing what they do, that’s perfectly fine?
There’s really no logical argument for the age of consent to be lower than the age you have to be to watch porn

Yea I know but I was struggling to think of any other pressing issue that could come from a 16 year old viewing porn tbh

Well seeing as it's illegal to watch under 18 it's important

Now time to tackle fast food restaurants and ban children meals and put a fast food tax on everything unhealthy

I just think they are cheap and easy so parents buy them rather then cooking, child obesity is out of control and we need to do everything to stop children being overweight

Tbh if they have hardly any money fast food eating is no business for them

Ah but what will you do without overweight people being there for you to hate and humiliate?

What part of porn us illegal for under 18s dont you understand

I must be, I not desperate enough to use porn

Well they dont porn is seedy and disgusting and anyone who is obsessed are vile

Porn is for people who are not getting it or their partner wont put out

Embarrassing.

STORMY CONTINUES TO CASH IN ON HER TRUMP FAME.

Many have wondered if Stormy Daniels is still going to continue doing porn since the Trump scandal broke? Well, the answer is yes.
She is continuing to cash in on her newfound fame and has just released her first new porn film since she was brought to the mainstream public’s attention.

This week, Stormy released “Pornstars Like It Big: Stormy’s Secret”.
And although many thought she had left porn, she said she never did. Rather, she took a few months off performing due to a riding injury.
In her new film, Stormy stars as a housewife who is also a screenwriter.
Her character seeks “erotic inspiration“.

And when asked if she was going to continue to create more content, she said that she had a busy schedule but will “hopefully get to shoot some fun stuff”. In addition, Stormy is also directing her first full-length film, “Highway Home”, that is anticipated to be released in the summer.

I mean... I pretty much agree that porn is 1) kind of bleak af and 2) boring once you've actually had sex... However... Each to their own and I'm not really OK with government Internet censorship and monitoring. Slippery slope.

It just supports lazy parenting really. Our computer was in the living room in the corner so I was on stardoll when I was little while my mum watched tv. I never recall encoutering any porn of any sorts at home until I went on those cam websites like stickam or whatever and some girl was shoving a sky remote up her fairy.

I bet I'll have to show my passport soon to read about horror movies, I can't access their sites on mobile data smh

This will just be because some mobile companies have the "child lock" on by default... you can have it turned off with a 2 minute phonecall.
