Getting rid of dead subforums

Is this a thing that happens on this forum? At times this forum can feel run down af when there’s subforums for reality shows where you can see threads made from years ago on the first page, especially when there’s reality shows actually being discussed that have to contain it in one thread. The voice and the amazing race are absolutely dead, for example, and they’d serve much better to the treatment most other actually talked about reality shows get on this forum.

Empty sub forums just make the whole site feel emptier than it is, focus people to subforums where there’s already traffic and it’ll increase :shrug:

Ok so theres only 16 regular posters in the challenge thread, the rest of the members that have posted in there have less than 20 posts (17 members have posted once)

I've already said above atm I dont see it needing it's own subforum. That may change in future but for now it's a no.

I don't think I put my point across well because I agree more shows should have their own sub forums I just don't why it has to be a bargaining deal like "if we lose the voice can we have the challenge x" when the voice forum is hardly causing any offence by being there.

On the whole idk why admin are so reluctant to add member suggestions and would rather the forum just plod a long as the same pace at a time they should be encouraging as much activity as possible.

PM it to James :) I had to be quite persistent with him when trying to get a Love Island sub forum going but he listened in the end!

Also because the show had lots of threads/topics being created just for one series alone, the case was made stronger for a sub forum as it was clogging up the other RTV section

I liked Vicky's thinking on the page 1 of this thread
3 big sections: bb, other tv, other stuff like sd, chat, games etc
then within these appropriate subforums and archives for historic/expired stuff.

would that help in simplifying the structure? at what structure level number of subforums doesn't affect things in a negative way?

We had to before but Hayden made a re-watch thread and that's being used as well as the main thread. It wasn't popular until this past year and more people are getting into it.

People could literally make
Sweepstake threads
A thread for every season like they do for Survivor
Fantasy drafts
Appreciation threads
Spoiler and rumour thread
Ranking Thread

All of that will be used

Could possibly get new members too.

I think at the moment this is the best option.

Big Broter C4, Big Brother C5 and then group everything else into categories.

Talent shows, US reality shows etc.

i have a sort of renovating plan worked out myself

BB/CBBUK, UK TV Shows, US TV Shows, Reality TV, Serious Debates & News, but then a separate news section for Celebrity/Showbizz/Entertainment for those who don't like it in SD

these would be my changes to tibb, i wouldn't remove any subforums though

not my problem that people don't even bother to widen their interests :idc: i wasn't first into the challenge, didn't know it at all, but when i started watching it ''champs vs stars 3'' was first i watched, just for fun and to try it and i quite liked it
