Cheeky bathroom selfie if you’re looking good? Sure why not

That's what I want to say to them all...but they have just been to a funeral for someone they adored..I'm in a catch 22 facebook situation.

The press take pictures at a famous persons funeral but I’ve not witnessed it at any funeral I’ve been too.

There's clearly a misconception here .
I don't think there's a problem with taking photos of family & friends especially at the wake plus what's wrong with taking photos of the flowers ?. I think there's some confusion over "photos & funeral" .
I don't think there's anything morbid or macabre about that . Obviously the occasion is sad . And each to their own whether they take photos or not .
Let's just simplify it to absolute tubes taking selfies in Celtic tops at the big mans funeral.

Only of flowers and maybe at the wake with friends/relatives you haven't seen for years.
Service? God no.

I just so happened to quote what you said as i think people are misunderstanding taking photographs at a funeral . Obviously if there's family and friends you don't usually see then you'll capture the memory even though it's a sad occasion. And also of the flowers as a memory .
...I can see the context that you mean ...they went to Billy McNeill‘s funeral, someone they admired hugely and took photos there and then posted them..?...I don’t know, that seems fine to me...I doubt Billy would have objected to that or thought it disrespectful in any way...if they had been photos of individual’s personal grief and intrusive into that grief..?...then no, but I don’t think that’s what you mean../...the vein of photos that were posted...
