I actually liked Israel's entry last year btw, but out of the two songs Israel's entry was far more damaging to the show's credibility (what's left of it anyway) and the show is still around.

Juries probably will destroy it's chances as they tend to not like strange entries as much as the public tends to. I hope that I'm wrong though and that the Jury embraces an entry like Iceland for a change.

the rule is

Australia has the choice to make which country, city in europe they want to host the contest in (they previously said Germany was one of their options)

they organize the event, so all costs go to sbs Australia, not the country they host it in
