Rudd only won her seat by something like 3 votes at the last election, so she won't be around come the next election.

Whoever is chosen needs to be in a very, very safe seat because the tories are going to get hammered at a GE

Kate, if you want more options added I think I can add them, think you can have up to 20 (or 25) options, but there might not be a limit..so yeah, if you want any added, just list them and I will try!

they only vote for a leader on a tuesday and a thursday with the lowest polling being removed from the next vote ..... so the process could take a very long time to get down to the final 2

A Tory's a Tory and let's face it, until the Brexit mess is sorted out it's as much a cursed role as it was when May took it.

I'd want Rory Stewart.
I think the Conservative Party would be wiser to look outside the usual main runners box this time.

I think Johnson, Raab or Javid.

Leadsom ran last time and quit.
They'd be mad to vote for her.

If Johnson is one of the last 2 standing then he's virtually got it.

it's really not cursed if the new leader doesn't attempt to get a deal through. Force parliament to vote against the ref result and revoke or go with a no deal .... then people will note who voted for what and hold them responsible as they see fit. That is the get out of jail path for the tories

I think it's extremely unlikely that October will be any less of a mess than March was, and whoever is PM at the time will be branded "as useless as Theresa May".

Liz Truss and Sajid Javid are the only ones I could stomach voting for if it was truly a head to head between Corbyn and them.

But I don't vote either anyway.

I didn't click 'other' but I would totally back Tom Tugendhat or Johnny Mercer

oh, i think it will be very messy, and it will be an edge of the seat moment when they decide to revoke or go with a no deal, but that's how its going to be. Deals are a pipe dream that are unworkable as May has shown
