Breaking news Seany just told Ziggy on live feed right now that the crowd were chanting get Charley out to him . Ziggy looked surprised at him and told Seany that everyones a nice bunch here. There only a matter of time til Seany tells Charley what he heard.

I thought he'd already told them that he heard chanting, wasn't that what Nicky was moaning about just a bit after they'd both gone in?

I thought the crowd was chanting Seany at first... but then there was no mistaking it - they said Charley.
I'm surprised he went in and told Ziggy just like that, although it should be only a matter of time before Charley finds out. I'm not sure if Seany will get punished for it to be honest. To be fair I wouldn't have thought it should shock any of them... all the housemates know about Charley's tendency to start up arguments and stuff, her attitude, and I think chanting to get her out was purely for the entertainment factor. Because I'm sure they realise that she brings a lot of tension to the house... for some, she's the sort of character you'd love to hate.

my brother watched it for the first time last night with me and didnt know ANY of the housemates names - and I asked him "what do you think the crowd were chanting?" and he said "get seany out"
bananarama

I couln't be sure what they were chanting. Maybe there was a mix of both names....He also broke the rules as soon as he got in by sending messages to his family........He needs a gentle reminder of what is allowed.......
On the basis of what he heard if the name being chanted was charley then he should be barred from nominating as he has been given an unfair advantage over a housemate.....
Loosing an energetic and interesting volatile character like Charley this early on would be plain stupid and I think possibly avoidable if BB for once stop interfering on the negative side.
Once again the crowds have proven what a bunch of mob mentality BB spoiler morons they are these days......Next eviction should be the crowds that boo and chant clues to the housemates.....

It was 'GET CHARLEY OUT' as he walked up the stairs but there were many boos for Seany too as he is a bit of a character (to be polite).
Charley is a character and my feelings for her are up and down but Charley is already working on Gerry and if he chooses her as a second person who CAN nominate then she may not be up for nomination? ......Depending on how Seany thinks and who he selects? Get what I'm saying??? (I don't?:puzzled:)

It was nearly all Get Charley out.
but there was a small undercurrent of Get Seany out.
I just watched it.

I heard both of them, but i thought the get seany out was louder but it might of just been me.

09-06-2007, 10:40 AM
There were certainly some Seany's but this was followed by the Charley shouts which were louder. There was no way that anyone could have shouted get Seany out when Gerry went in the house so the small amount of shouts must have been for Charlie?

I see what sticks is saying but, a very important issue has been raised by the Emily incident. It is totally wrong for Charley to try and turn this to her advantage and milk the sympathy. That is not what our ancestors did in order to get black people the rights they have today. It's such a shame that an important issue like this is going to be tainted by the fact that Charley is an example of the stereotype that the N word perpetuates. It leaves a very nasty taste in my mouth.

Why do you say that???. Do you support someone as nasty as Charley???. I wouldnt if I were you as it will do you no good. And from the crowd reaction "get Charley out". It doesnt sound like Charley has many fans out there does it.

To Quote Treebeard from Lord of the Rings
I am not altogether on anyone's side and nobody is on my side
I am not a fan of anyone, I am neutral, i just find gloating over someone's misfortune distasteful - It makes us like the Roman Coliseum

BB crowds are sheep. They make animal noises. All their brain cells put together would not make one complete brain.
Charley can be nasty. Great that's what makes BB interesting.......Far more interesting than the animal noises coming from the CH4 hit sqad.

I agree with BOTH of these points of views actually as yes there are some members of the crowd who find it hard to locate their brains, (the rent-a-crowd brigade) but they were also speaking for a majority of people who do not like Charley.

It was said that when the Argentinian General Belgrano was sunk during the Falklands conflict, with massive loss of life because it's escorts did not stay around to pick up survivors, there was no cheering on British ships or the submarine that had been ordered to sink her. Our sailors felt the loss of fellow sailors, even if they were on the other side.
They had a job to do, but at the end of the day there was no gloating
When someone falls, we feel loss, and to gloat over the fallen would be beyond the pale.
