GMB talk to Lucien Greaves who is the head of the Satanic Temple. They are an activist group who are taking a stand against the power of the Christian church in the US. The group also aims to advocate for religious freedom and champion social equality.

Truthfully, the only religion I'd ever consider joining if I had to pick. They are the only religion that isn't built on hatred.

Americans have the right to religious freedom, it's in their Constitution:

Amendment I. Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

The Second Amendment covers the right to bear arms, so if anyone's going to try to make the US change anything in their Constitution, good luck with that.

Why would anyone want to belong to a non-religion. There are already atheists, agnostics, all kind of non-believers and most religious people I know, myself included, completely support their right to believe in whatever they like, even if it is nothing. Seems strangely self-promoting to set yourself up just to ridicule and antagonise people who have the constitutional right to follow their faith.

You could ask the same of any religion which has been ridiculing and antagonising LGBT people for centuries as well as making enemies of people who don't follow the faith.

Joining a "Religion is Totally Poopy Lol" group is totally the same as religious-based intolerance, yeah.

One is having a blinkered view of the world due to old customs, and the other is taking atheism/agnosticism a step further just to be borderline antagonistic toward religion people.

There’s a lot to be said about the good religion does; bringing people together, charity work, etc. I’m not sure if atheists or agnostics have group gatherings or bonding events, but maybe satanists find belonging at the Satanic Church. I know the Satanic Church does some charity work too.
