I thought this too. It’s very BBC drama though - like I get Miracle Day/Children of Earth vibes but I’m not sure if that’s just because if the casting or the pacing as I haven’t watched them in so long. I mean you know it’s BBC when most main actors have appeared in Doctor Who in some quantity lmao

I'm an avid Russell T Davies fan, and have enjoyed everything he's written/produced and this is no exception.

Such a clever, timely series. Not that I think everything in the show is realistic, but there's such a greatness to Davies' storytelling that suits what is going on politically rn. I also love his portrayal of family dynamics, general creativity, and all the past Doctor Who/Cucumber actors who make an appearance.

Also agree with @Hayden that the intro/outro track is super engaging, haha.

Honestly I feel like he's gonna get brought back in some capacity - that 'Deep Fake' stuff right at the start feels like it was included just to allow the possibility of him being 'remade' at the very least.

Plus there was no 'Next Time' preview like there usually is :suspect:

that's a good call unless they go for the chip method where he is alive on some sort of chip that was discussed at the start of the series, I just wanna know how he took his shoes off but was found with them on

Still loving this! Although this week, idk, I felt like I’d missed an episode. There was so much new content between Danny dying and the start of this episode that needed more explanation imo. The whole disappeared thing for example, just kind of came out the blue and was never really explained or introduced.

I was sad there wasn’t much more between 2029 and 2031. There was so much missed, like how Edith discovered the new technology, how much further Bethany got in her surgeries, the transition of Lincholn (which was only ever subtly touched on previously) etc.

Didn’t take away from the story, but I’d have liked to see those scenes.

This series has been so gripping yet so scary. Has only reaffirmed my fears of what this country could become.

The fact I liked Viv earlier on, yet she became what she became shows how easily the population could be duped into this kinda thing.

And Edith is right, we keep racing to the next disaster... we need to be careful. Teaches a lot that programme does

Literally this, apart from this episode. Rosie’s hair got gradually darker throughout the series, and then suddenly tonight she’s full on brunette and then at the end Celeste has grown grey hair, and they made Frans hair a little bit grey. Rosie’s kinda suddenly went from 10 to 18 in 3 years too :laugh:
