random but years ago when I was maybe 10/11 my parents got H&S shampoo/cond and I must've used it for maybe 6 months, during that time I started getting bits of dandruff, which was odd because I'd never had it before and it seemed weird because H&S whole brand is the anti-dandruff thing. I stopped using it and the dandruff cleared and ive never had it since.

Anyway last week I had a shower at my grandparents and all they had was H&S shampoo or that crap alberto balsam one, so I used H&S and now the last couple of days ive noticed bits of dandruff in my hair again...

I’ve had this problem before with H&S. If I used it, my scalp and hair itself would feel really dry. I use Herbal Essences, the blue coconut one never had a problem with that

We all lose skin cells from our scalp, hence we all have dandruff, just the rate of losing them is normally slow so you would never notice it. What H & S does is encourage the removal of the dead cells at a faster rate so that it then becomes less noticeable overall, but if you don't have dandruff naturally, it will make it appear that you do then have it .... simple

They said it was a 'myth' but lots of people said they did get dandruff as it drys the scalp~ hence best for a greasy scalp

Possibly too much sulfates in it and not suitable for your scalp so dried it out?
