I don't think Charley was milking it at the time it happened. I do agree that she is milking it now.
Emily said a word that dictionary.com has described as probably the most offensive word in the English language. Personally, I think that without the events of CBB5 she would almost certainly have stayed, but due to the row in CBB5 she had to go.

Why do people blame Charley for Emily getting kicked out? Emily had called her a "******" FFS! How would YOU have reacted if you were in Charley's shoes? And don't say "I'd have laughed it off" because it's pretty hard for a black person to find a white person referring to them as something like that humorous.

As I pointed out, at the time Charley's reaction was a good genuine reaction, now I believe she's milking it. She's talking about how her picture will be on the cover of newspapers next to Emiliy's and, after hearing that people were booing her last night, she declared that she thought people would like her after what happened, she's also now claimed the Emily said it in a malicious way. I think she feels that she's the new Shilpa Shetty. The only thing is Shilpa had genuine class Charley has none.

Well I don't find any of that funny. "******" is an offensive word and, in my opinion, one which should never be uttered, especially to a black woman's face!

Well what is funny about using a word which is offensive to a particular race and has affiliation with slavery?

Are you aware that Black people use the word all the time to each other? It is a term, that SOME people find offensive. It all depends what way it is used in

Your wrong!. Emily wasent trying to fit in at all. She knew what she was doing and saying and she said something racist which is very wrong. And Big Brother was right to throw her out and I am glad they did throw her out. As if they didnt they would of been in alot of trouble.

But Emily isn't black, and very few black people actually use the word as a term of endearment, at least the black people I know.
Are you saying that it's OK for me to go round calling every black person I see a "******"?

Nope I dindt say that, my black friends call me a "whigger" and I call them n*****, just because your black friends dont do it, doesntmean its wrong does it? Im also not black, and I say it, Emily must have thought Charley and herself had that kind of friendship.

I dont think it is fair to say it is about sense of humour! it was even said in a conversation where jokes were being made! it is more of a case of cultural ignorance and what people will and will not accept.

It's not wrong to call someone a ****** just because you're friends with a black person, is it?
No offence, but are you really that ignorant?

Im not saying that atall. When you are friends with a black person, depending on their sense of humour, then it is yes. Becuse it is a joke between black/white friends. But I am not and I cannot stress this enough, saying that this is what everyone is like and I'm not saying that you can call everyone black person a n****** if your friends with them.

That's only your opinion. I've heard opinions from black women who endeavour to use the word in a new, friendlier context, so as to abolish altogether a past context that was such an insult.

I can't believe what I'm reading here. How can people actually DEFEND the use of one of the most offensive words in the English language?

No, it's a racial slur, regardless of the context it is used in. End of.

I'm guessing you don't listen to Rap music watch many Black comedians or any Quentin Tarantino films?
